Poco F7 Ultra nabs another certification on its way to launch
Poco's top of the line F series is getting an Ultra for the first time this year, and the F7 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, as revealed by a benchmark run recently.
The phone was already certified for sale in Indonesia back in January, and now it's also passed the certification step in Thailand. As usual, this doesn't really reveal any specs, just signals that the launch is nearing by the day.
For context, note that the F6 series was unveiled in May last year, so we may still be a few weeks away from the announcement of the F7 Pro and F7 Ultra.
The F7 Ultra is rumored to be a rebranded Redmi K80 Pro. If this pans out, then expect it to come with a 6.67-inch 1440x3200 OLED touchscreen with 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,200-nit peak brightness, 12/16GB of RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage, a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom and OIS, a 32 MP ultrawide, a 20 MP selfie camera, and a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. It should run Android 15 with HyperOS 2 on top.
