Poco F8 Ultra gets certified indicating a possible early release
The Poco F7 Ultra launched in March alongside the Poco F7 Pro, and we've so far been used to one F-series release each year, but that may be changing.
The Poco F8 Ultra has already been certified for sale in Thailand by NBTC, confirming its model number: 25102PCBEG. These certifications don't happen right before a device gets official, but they also don't usually come six months in advance - hence why we assume the F8 Ultra will be unveiled way ahead of its predecessor's one-year anniversary in March.
There have been rumors that it will be a rebranded Redmi K90 Pro, but Redmi has complicated things by revealing that there will be a K90 Pro Max too. And this has been the sole focus of the brand's teasers over the past few days ahead of its announcement in a couple of days, which makes us think it will be the highest-end of the series (as the name also clearly implies).
So, with that in mind, should we assume that the Poco F8 Ultra will be a rebranded Redmi K90 Pro Max? Nothing's certain right now, but that would probably be a good bet. For reference, note that the K90 Pro Max is already confirmed to come with a 6.9" OLED screen with DC dimming across the entire brightness range, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, a main camera using a 1/1.31" type sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
