Poco M6 5G hands-on review

GSMArena Team, 01 March 2024.

Introduction

The Poco M6 is an entry-level smartphone in the company's 2024 lineup. Slotting in just above the Poco C65, the Poco M6 is, for the most part, almost identical save for a more powerful chipset and minor camera differences.

The specs are more or less what you'd expect at this price range. You get a 720p LCD but with a claimed 90Hz refresh rate. There is a single usable 50MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front. You do however get a large 5000mAh battery along with a headphone jack and microSD support. A fingerprint sensor has been cleverly placed inside the power button.

For a starting price of around $115, you can't ask a lot more than that. The important thing now is to see how well it all works.

Unboxing

The Poco M6 comes in fairly basic packaging that you'd expect from an entry-level smartphone. It has the same yellow color on the outside with the vertical branding that we see on other Poco packages.

Inside, you get the phone, a 10W charger, and a cable. There isn't any case or screen protector provided in the box.

I agree to that. Potential chips like D7020 or the D7030 to have UFS 3.1 option. Like you said, Unisocs are ultimate of the budget line of having UFS 2.2 available to lower end, while Mediateks such as Helio G99 to D6100+ gets superior option in...
