Poco Pad 5G's launch date confirmed

The Poco Pad launched in May doesn't have cellular connectivity, but Poco today announced it will unveil the 5G version in India on August 23 at noon local time.

The image shared by Poco on X confirmed that the Poco Pad 5G will have stylus and keyboard support, which will likely be sold separately. Meanwhile, Flipkart's promo page on its website revealed that the Poco Pad 5G will pack a 12.1" 120Hz screen with 600 nits brightness - the same as the Wi-Fi-only model introduced in May.

It's unclear if the Poco Pad 5G will just be the Poco Pad with 5G support or if it will be a different tablet since the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip powering the Poco Pad supports 5G connectivity. We'll find that out next Friday. In the meantime, you can read our Poco Pad Wi-Fi model's review to learn more about it.

Most budget tablets have LCD screens. Tab S9 isn't a budget tablet.

LCD screen are better since no burn ins. And no, I won't miss Samsung's 15W fast charging on their budget tablets.
