Poco X6 review
Design, build quality, handling
The Poco X6 has a familiar Poco design - no-nonsense, easily recognizable, and with the signature huge black blot with the Poco logo around the cameras.
The Poco X6 is a symmetrical smartphone with flat panels and a flat frame. It has a Gorilla Glass Victus sheet, keeping the screen safe, a sturdy plastic frame with a matte finish, and a glossy piece of flat plastic on the back.
The Poco X6 is available in black, blue and white colorways. The black and our blue versions are mirror-like due to their glossiness and uniform color. They are also huge fingerprint magnets. On the other hand, the white one has a marble texture under the first layer of plastic, which makes it more unique, and smudges are not as obvious.
The square black camera housing has become something like a trademark for the Poco phones, together with the Poco logo inside this black spot outside this camera island.
The Poco X6 is IP54-rated for dust and splash protection. While the IPX4 means you cannot submerge this phone in fresh water, it should endure 360-degree heavy splashes from all sides, something along the lines of heavy rain.
Now, let's take a closer look at the Poco X6.
The front accommodates the large 6.67-inch CrystalRes Flow AMOLED Dot Display, as Xiaomi calls it. It is a 1220p OLED panel with a small punch hole centered around the top to make way for the 16MP selfie camera. The screen supports 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision streaming.
The display has evenly thin bezels across all sides. There is a small outlet above the screen for the earpiece, which also serves as a speaker, and that's the reason it has another top-facing grille.
There is also an optical fingerprint scanner under the screen, and it is as fast and reliable as these go nowadays.
The triple camera is on the back, inside a slightly jutting-out plastic piece. First is the 64MP OIS primary camera, and next is the 2MP macro camera. The second row has the 8MP ultrawide shooter and the LED flash.
The frame is plastic across all sides.
There is nothing on the left.
The power/lock and the volume keys are on the right.
The top accommodates the 3.5mm jack, the IR blaster, one microphone and the second outlet for the top speaker.
The bottom contains the dual-SIM tray, the primary microphone, the USB-C port, and the second speaker.
The Poco X6 measures 161.2x74.3x8.0mm and weighs 181 grams, which means it is about 5mm shorter, 2mm narrower and 8 grams lighter than the Poco X5, which has a similarly sized display and a bit smaller battery. The Poco X6 has smaller screen bezels, though, hence the slightly smaller footprint.
The mostly glossy Poco X6 cannot provide the most grippy handling, that is for sure. Its frame does help, though, and most days, we didn't need the case for protection and grip purposes. The X6 was always covered in smudges though, which is probably the reason why most of its users will prefer having the case on.
Still, the naked Poco X6 offers a good-enough grip, feels somewhat lightweight in your hand, and it is comfortable to operate on a daily basis. We appreciated its recognizable design and its improved ingress protection, too.

Poco X6 is not for hard gaming. It has SD 7s gen 2 chipset. That is good chipset for day to day tasks, but not good for heavy gaming. That is why Poco released the X6 Pro. Poco X6 is for casual users, Poco X6 Pro is for gamers. They are prac...

I don't understand how you guys make the rating points, but on your site, this phone has 3.8, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G (practically similar phone, minus the main camera) has 4.1. So, why so big difference? I mean, I know that Poco is...
