Polar M600 Android Wear watch will track your activity 24/7... for 2 days on a charge

George, 03 August, 2016

Polar has just announced its latest M600 Android Wear smartwatch. Meant to appeal to the outdoor types, the Polar M600 has plenty of activity tracking features and will last more than 48 hours on a single charge, Polar claims.

The M600 features a heart rate sensor with a total of 6 LEDs as part of a proprietary solution meant to deliver superior accuracy. The built-in GPS means the watch can track distance, speed, and route all on its own without requiring a smartphone.

A 1.3-inch display with 240 x 240 px resolution sits on the front and it's covered with a Gorilla Glass 3. The whole device is IPx8 certified, and Polar states it's suitable for swimming, too.

The wearable is powered by a Mediatek MT2601 chipset with a dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, paired with 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage. Keeping the lights on is a 500mAh power pack, and the claimed 2-day battery life is when the watch is paired to an Android device. With an iPhone you'd only get half that. Either way, it should be good for an 8-hour workout, if you can handle it.

The Polar M600 is available in black or white and price is set at $330 in the US, £265 in the UK, and €350 in mainland Europe.

@Perfectionist. It has GPS, WIFI and everything of Sony watch 3 + not a watch style...... so I don't have to remove my mechanical watch.
