You cannot change the language, I got mine in French first with an AZERTY keyboard. Only solution was to swap it for an English version.

Just got the qtek 9100 but it's in French. How can I change the language to English.

Yes, you can use SKYPE with your Qtek 9100. You should simply go to SKYPE website, RUN SKYPE in your Qtek 9100 (not save as ......), and it'd done!

have this phone for a week now, its very good, its fast even with the omap200 processor i have a pda with xscale 400mhz and its almost equal. i have none of the problems people talk about regarding synchr.
in fact i havent had a problem at all with it, and im a heavy user. battery life is also very good 3-4 days and nights.
i can recommend it to anyone, and yes pockeskype also runs good.

Hi, I accidentely delete all my text messages from my Qtek 9100. I was so surprised when I realise that those sms were not synchronised. Does anybody knows if I can have them back? I mean do anybody think that those messages are still somewhere on my phone?

Hello,
I am looking to purchase this phone for the Cingular service. I understand that Unlimited PDA connect is $45 a month. But, MediaNET is $19.99 a month for unlimited usage.
Can i just connect this PDA via MediaNET?

Great PDA, phone aspect is not so good. Loses signal quite a lot even when other phones have a good signal.

I can't synchronize my qtek 9100 with my hp nc6000. activesync can't find my qtek. i tried at another pc and it's ok. The problem i thing is in may hp. anyone can helpme ?

Hi All, I just bought Cingular 8125 which is basically same as K-jam/Qtek-9100 under the hood just different body on outside. It’s a great phone with cool features. Right now I am testing all the features to make sure they are working fine.
Spec says it’s got IrDA port. I want to verify that its working without any issues but problem is I can’t find it! I don’t see any setting option like bluetooth nor I see any kind of indicator on the body for IrDA port. Any one knows how to test/use IrDA on k-jam/8125? I have another phone which has got IrDA and bluetooth both. When I turn on IrDA on that phone it shows read icon on the screen. Want to connect it with 8125 to test. Pl help.

I have been offered one of these things as an upgrade but I'm more than a little concerned about the crappy reviews it gets with it frezing and being quirky etc, etc.
Whats the general consensus on this thing is it any good or not?

I have purchased the 9100 in Portugal from supposedly a reputable dealer and was told it was dual language. However, I find it is Portuguese only. On 21st February, 16 days ago I requested information from the EU distributor to convert it. So far nothing, is this typical of the standard of service from Q Tek

Hi, I was wondering if this phone supports only wireless B or both B/G? I think I read somewhere that it only supports B, but many sites, including this one, says that it supports both B and G. Thank you.

People, you can also use new rom versions from i mate k-jam. They have identical hardware and i think there are better roms for i-mate phones/pdas then for qtek. Just google a bit and you will find them! Goodluck!

I was trying to use WiFi at the place I usualy do with my laptop, but it doesn`t catch any signal. Does the Laptop Wifi much stronger then the PC phone wireless adaptor ?

Does anyone know how to get software updates for this thing? Mine is very quirky.. it will freeze, or if I turn on Flight Mode, I can't turn it off, or other various little quirks... Thanks!
