What's with the third camera module? Is there no super wide angle module here?

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2024 **Chipset Versioning and Their Performance** 1. **Vers... moreLet me tell you some facts:

The Helio G80, G85 and G88 are all the same chip with different names. They are all 12nm Octa Core chips with a 2-6 core setup where the two performance cores are clocked at 2.0GHz and the 6 efficiency cores are clocked at 1.8GHz. They all also use the same Mali-G52 GPU and all of them score ~250K points on Antutu v10.

The Dimensity 6020 is a rebranded Dimensity 700, while the Dimensity 6080 and the Dimensity 6100+ are rebranded versions of the Dimensity 810. All of them also use the same 2-6 core setup, all of them use the Mali-G57 GPU and all of them and all of them score ~420K points on Antutu v10.

Since the Dimensity 6020 is a rebranded Dimensity 700, while the rest are Dimensity 810 rebrands, the Dimensity 6020 is built on a 7nm process, while the rest are built on a 6nm process.

Also, the Dimensity 6080 is actually the fastest chip in the lineup instead of the Dimensity 6100+ thanks to a 0.2GHz overclock on the two performance cores (2x2.4GHz / 6x2GHz for the Dimensity 6080 vs 2x2.2Ghz / 6x2GHz for the rest).

Also, if you haven't noticed by now, the Dimensity 6050 does not exist.

As you can see, you should never judge SOC's by their name. Instead, you should use benchmark scores and available architecture info to see the truth.

this could have been an alternative to nothing cmf1 but oh well for this price better get nothing 2a instead... way better feel than realme.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2024 I have added an assessment of the advancements, in truth,... moreThe 2021 Snapdragon 870 was the best at that time without issues, and the next generation, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in 2023, is cheaper but actually has similar AnTuTu scores, only differing in version due to inflation of numbers. Snapdragon 888 represents the start with 888 v1, 888 Plus v1.5, 8 Gen 1 v2, 8 Gen 1 Plus 2.5, 8 Gen 2 3.0, 8 Gen 3 3.5, 8 Gen 4 4.0 (2024), 8 Gen 5 4.5 (2025), 8 Gen 5 Plus 5.0 (2026), 8 Gen 6 5.5 (2026), 8 Gen 7 (2027) 6.0 (inflation), 8 Gen 8 (6.5) (2028), and 9 (7.0) (2029). Between 2027-2029, a severe inflation crisis is expected, which will likely mean that chipset quality will not improve significantly, and prices will become unreasonable, reaching $1000, $2000, $3000, while quality remains relatively similar.

I have added an assessment of the advancements, in truth, the 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400 are intermediate versions progressing towards their final stages. What is often highlighted by individuals are the values 1, 5, 7, 9, and 10 Pro/Plus, depending on how the companies choose to arrange the nomenclature. If there are seven tiers, then versions 4 and 7 are the most superior.

The reason I regard the 9400 and 8 Gen 4 as indicative of inflated AnTuTu scores is due to the substantial disparity in performance which is less than perfect before the ideal value, represented by the 9500, is achieved. The chipsets manufactured between the years 2025 and 2027 will be extraordinarily powerful and their prices will be quite steep; however, by 2028, 2029, and 2030, the prices will diminish and the quality of the chipsets will decline in the more affordable versions. Thus, the golden age of chipsets will occur between 2025 and 2027, where only the affluent shall partake in the pinnacle of advanced chipsets.

                          **Chipset Versioning and Their Performance**

                          1. **Versioning and Performance**:
                          - Chipsets are denoted by version numbers such as v1, v2, v3, wherein higher numerals signify advancements in technology. For instance:
                          - G80 v1, G85 v2, G88 v3, G99 v4, and G99 Ultimate v5
                          - Dimensity 6020 v1, 6050 v2, 6080 v3, 6100+ v4
                          - Versions nearing numbers like 50 and 80 are deemed more serious, with 100 and above representing more refined iterations.

                          2. **Trends Observed**:
                          - **Dimensity Series**:
                          - Initial versions such as 6100 progress to 6200, 6300, and ideally to 6500 or 6800.
                          - **Versioning Peculiarities**:
                          - Numbers such as 6400 may be omitted, with versions like 6500 being of greater significance.
                          - **Cultural Influences**:
                          - The numeral 4 is avoided in Chinese tradition due to its phonetic resemblance to the word for "death" (shi). Nonetheless, versions such as 6500 may transcend this cultural nuance to emphasize performance.

                          3. **Comparative Analysis and AnTuTu Scores**:
                          - Larger increments in AnTuTu scores between versions signify more notable advancements and complexity. For instance:
                          - The leap from 9300 Plus to 9400 suggests a considerable developmental effort for the latter.
                          - Minor updates (v1.01, v1.05) generally denote incremental enhancements rather than significant changes.

                          4. **Examples**:
                          - **Version Progression**:
                          - 9000 and 9100 v1, 1.5, 9200 v2, 9300 v2.5, 9300 Plus v3, 9400 v3.5, 9500 v4
                          - **Performance Appraisal**:
                          - The 9500 v4 is regarded as a highly advanced iteration, reflecting substantial development effort in its score.

The Dimensity 7300 performs on the level of the Snapdragon 778G while the 7200 performs on the level of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
