Realme 13 4G unveiled with Snapdragon 685, 6.67" 120Hz OLED display and 5,000mAh battery
After the launch of the two Pro models, attention turns to the vanilla Realme 13 4G, which is launching today in Indonesia. As the name suggests, this is an LTE phone rather than 5G like the Pro and Pro+.
This also means that instead of a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, this one uses a Snapdragon 685. The chip is paired with a 7-layer cooling system that includes a vapor chamber (4,392mm² in size). You may remember this chip from the Realme 12 4G and a quick comparison shows that hardly anything has changed.
To be fair, the Realme 12 4G launched in July of this year, so it’s just one month old at this point. The difference between the 12 and 13 is that the new model is dust-tight (IP64 vs. IP54). The rest is the same.
This means a 6.67” OLED display (E4 material) with FHD+ resolution. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. This is an 8-bit panel with 98% DCI-P3 coverage. Its brightness normally reaches 600 nits, but can peak at 2,000 nits (there are 4,096 brightness levels).
The display has a built-in fingerprint reader. Interestingly, it can also measure your heart rate, in case you don’t have a smartwatch on you that does that already.
The back is home to a 50MP camera that uses the Sony LYT-600 sensor (1/1.95”). It has an f/1.88 lens with a 26mm focal length and OIS. It’s joined by a depth camera. On the front there is a 16MP selfie camera (f/2.45). Both front and rear cameras can record video at 1080p @ 30fps.
The Realme 13 4G is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. It gets to 50% in 19 minutes and to 100% in 47 minutes.
For audio, the phone is equipped with dual speakers and has a Hi-Res Audio certification – yes, it does have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
