Realme 13 5G and 13+ 5G debut
With Realme 13 Pro, 13 Pro+ and even a 4G variant of the vanilla Realme 13 out and about, it's finally time to welcome the Realme 13 5G and Realme 13+ 5G into the family.
Realme 13+ 5G
Realme 13+ 5G is the first phone to launch with MediaTek's Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset. It features an eight-core setup with 4x Cortex A78 cores @ up to 2.5 GHz and 4x Cortex A55 @ up to 2.0 GHz. The 4nm chipset also houses a Mali-G615 GPU with improved power management and a dedicated neural processing unit - MediaTek NPU 655.
Realme also added a 6,050 mm2 stainless steel vapor chamber to help keep thermals in check.
Up front, Realme 13+ features a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED with 2,000 nits peak brightness. The back houses a 50MP main shooter with a Sony LYT-600 sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
Realme 13+ features a 5,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging and boots Realme UI based on Android 14.
Realme 13+ comes in Victory Gold, Speed Green, and Dark Purple colors.
Pricing starts at INR 22,999 ($275) for the 8/128GB trim. The 8/256GB version will go for INR 24,999 ($300), while the 12/256GB will be INR 26,999 ($320). Open sales start on September 6.
Realme 13 5G
Realme 13 5G boasts the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. Notably, the chipset is the biggest difference between the Realme 13 5G and its 4G counterpart. The 4G model settles for Snapdragon 685.
We've already seen the rest of the specs—a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cameras on the back are just two—a 50MP f/1.9, 1/1.95" main unit with OIS joined by a 2MP depth sensor and a 16MP f/2.5 selfie camera.
The Realme 13 5G will be available in two memory variants - 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB and can expect two major Android updates and three years of security patches.
Since the handset features the same chassis as the 4G model, it is IP64 certified against water and dust and has a stainless steel vapor chamber for more efficient cooling.
A standard 5,000 mAh battery keeps the lights on, but unlike the 4G model, the 5G model settles for a 45W fast charging solution, not 67W.
Pricing starts at INR 17,999 ($215) for the 8/128GB trim. The 8/256GB version will go for INR 19,999 ($240). Open sales start on September 6.

Of course, that is another good example of false advertising. 8GB of RAM, and the useless 16GB of storage being used as swap.
