So out of any regular smartphones, THIS one is apparently the one with the best battery life according to EU-spec tests?

- Realme 14 pro gets really hot (>45°C) when using GPS
- Photo camera is sufficient, but Galaxy A54 takes better photos
- Speed is OK for daily ussage
- Plenty of RAM (12GB) and Storage (512GB)
- Paid 299€ for Realme 14 pro in Belgium
- Battery lasts for 1 day (3-4hrs of usage) so not as incredible for a 6000 mAh battery
- Battery charges quite slow (using 25Watt charger; I know, a 45 Watt charger should be faster)
- Nice screen with sufficient brightness for outdoor usage although reflection of the screen is annoying
- Under screen Fingerprint sensor is accurate and fast (much better than on my previous Realme 5 pro)

Anonymous, 26 May 2025I came from an IPS LCD pnone - Redmi 10C and got Realme 14 ... moreI had some fantastic lcd's and some dreadful oled's.
I mean take the lcd screen on the Motorola g35 for instance it's a wonderful screen for an lcd , its sharp, colourful and quite bright, obviously it doesn't have those deep blacks, but the colours , contrast and sharpness was a lot better than the amoled on the nothing phone 2a plus I had .
I've personally never been able to use an oled comfortably myself.
The ones with low modulation, dc like dimming, in the normal brightness range have been the best for me and I had the vivo v30 pro for over a year with very little issues (did get slight blurred vision in one eye though).
Personally I would love a flagship with a great lcd (you've got me thinking back to the htc u ultra days) ,and with so many people having issues with amoleds I don't know why they don't offer a lcd alternative version of the same phone , that way people can't get pissy about it not having an oled as there would be one with a oled too (obviously not curved flagship phones though).

In fact, it made me realize how bad the IPS LCD of the Redmi 10C was actually. Low PPI, low resolution, everything looks blurry and dim, on the OLED display it looks bright, sharp, vivid. I admit I haven't had a premium phone with IPS LCD, but I would surmize it's not as good in terms of light output. It's no wonder they ship budget phones with IPS LCD and higher quality phones with OLED.
Of course, both have pros and cons, LCD's pros being that it conserves battery life and can't get OLED burn, the cons being that the picture just looks more dull.
OLED's pros are it makes the picture look better, sharper and more vivid, the cons are it drains battery faster, especially if dark mode isn't used and it can get OLED burn, but I think the latter happens to people who have improper exploitation practices of their devices.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2025OLED is bad for the eyes. That's why I always recommen... moreYou must be living in the past, it is not just about the OLED vs IPS LCD thing, it is more about how much light output and how the light is rendered. So, similarly, if a LCD use a bad LED as backlight then it will hurt your eyes too, then also modern OLED has improve a lot, I mean a lot, forget about all the PWM and DC dimming numbers, the modern OLED doesn't flicker even on paper the PWM or DC dimming is low, also the light wavelength that coming to your eyes. The best to protect your eye? Always adjust the suitable brightness that feel comfortable to your eyes, and avoid using smartphone at pitch black situation which make your eye strain when seeing smartphone screen, don't always view your big TV in pitch black environment to create cinema feel.

Incredibly light for a 6000 Mah bty, Decent chip set and Ui has improved lately. Not a camera/game centric phone but capable Jack. Realme support is comparatively better

Check the reddit if you don't believe me. Many people complaining about OLED induced eye problems. I can't post a link right now. Just duckduckgo it.
Even back in medieval times, people were so much smarter than nowadays. Even a caveman is smarter than a modern day human. It feels like humanity is getting dumber by the day. Why?

TheSnowWinterR7, 16 Jan 2025Really, Realme? Another Realme-10/11-Pro-non+ type-removal ... moreThough this phone is the lightest phone to date with a 5500mAh+ battery, the camera setup of a sub-$70 phone on this phone is embarrassing, to say the least. And this is a replacement to the Realme 11 Pro, so it doesn't make sense as a replacement to those with a newer phone.
Hopefully, this is the curved display variant of the Oppo A5, for those who missed curved displays.
