DragonNF, 10 Oct 2020I think there is a problem with the displays, they tend to ... moreLCDs can't have burn-in. What you have is image retention. Compared to permanent OLED burn-in, IPS LCD image retention is always temporarely.

Geizer, 12 Oct 2020I am currently planning to buy this phone, and i am curious... moreIt's been 5 months since I buy this phone.
The summary for this phone is good for both gamer or non gamer user, because if you're a normal user your eyes can get amazed by the 90hz refresh rate, although it didn't really noticeable the difference between the 60hz.
Durability of this phone is good too even tho most of it were plastic. I already dropped this phone 4 times now, most of it were from my pocket or my chest height (im 180cm). No scratches to the side of the phone and the screen.
The battery if you're a normal user can stay up to 8 hours nonstop or 6-7 hours if nonstop and 90Hz on and can be up to 1 and a half day if you use it part time/not always online.
If you're a gamer it can stay up for about 5-7 hours. Depends on your refresh rate and if you're taking a break a little.
The rest of the system is not really different from oppo's smartphone. Swipe hold Three fingers up to enter split screen, swipe three fingers down to screen shot, there's a task bar on the right side of the screen for quick access to some app, and the most cool and yet confusing is the exit and home button can be changed like Apple does. Bottom swipe up to exit to home and right or left swipe to back button.
The charge is fast, about 2℅ per minute = approximately 1 hour to full charge and about 40-50 minute from 20℅.
All I can say is, if you really wanted to buy this phone. Buy it now before more advanced smartphone come up (idk why I say that) but, the price of this phone in my country is dropping so if the price of this phone is about 200$ in your country for the 8gb ram, that's the price drop you were looking for.
I'm not a fan-boy I'm just saying the truth of the phone.

I am currently planning to buy this phone, and i am curious whether this phone could last for more than 1.5 years, im not really a heavy user of a smartphone, considering that i do not play a lot of mobile games. Can someone share their experience with this phone after like, 2 months or so?

I borrowed this phone from a friend to test.
1. All comments about heating are fake/lies.
I played PUBG on HD + Ultra on Mobile Data, sitting outside at 2PM with no fan for 2 hours. It didn't feel much warmer than it was before gaming, nor were there any frame drops.
In fact, I've used phones that heat up more in PUBG while sitting in AC, so I'm very impressed.
2. 90Hz is quite nice. You can feel the smoothness/fluidity of phone.
Unlike some 120Hz phones that lag, it didn't have any problem.
3. Cameras are quite good. They quickly and automatically detect scenes, like when you're taking a Portrait or Macro picture.
But I would still recommend using Gcam to get more appealing pictures. Try Gcam 6.1.
4. Gaming performance is excellent.
It didn't struggle at all to play PUBG on HD Graphics. There were no frame drops while fighting enemies (I'm Ace Ranked). I can safely say you can leave PUBG Graphics on HD.
It also supports HDR, but I didn't feel the need to test it.

I think there is a problem with the displays, they tend to have lcd burn-in.
on amoled it's a nightmare, on lcd it's no big problem, because as soon an the display power of or change image for an hour, it has no traces....
static white icons to be aware of, like health bars in games or typing alot.
to reduce it's effect keep they brightness at 50% or lower.
again, it's no big problem, but just a heads up.

kami, 07 Oct 2020which Ram i should go for? 4GB or 8GB?????I'd say 8Gb. It depends on your usage thought, if you use this phone "extremely" the 8Gb are the best choice. Even so, 4Gb is good too and the price of this phone currently dropping right now.

Ok so its been over 1 month (52 days) since i have been using this phone to its full potential. I can surely say that its a wonderful Package for its price. In most asian countries (maybe not india) this Realme 6 is the best beast under the budget. I have thoroughly tested this phone, its my only phone. What i conclude is that, there were several updates i received in 52 days. Many things improved with those.
Those who say it heats alot, well, i have tried pubg on extreme fps, its super smooth, but the HD mode feels a bit laggy. It doesnt heat much in a 3-4 hour session. It starts heating up after that so i guess its awesome, its not an issue to be considered.
Second, its overall task handling is very nice, i played Among Us and was on discord with my friend and was screen recording the gameplay as well. The 1 hour session yet no heating at all. It worked flawless.
One thing i would like to mention, when you fill up the storage to around 115 to 120gb, the device starts to lag a bit here and there. This annoys the experience of 90hz but yea it exists and you just have to make sure you have around 30 gb free space for overall smoothness.
Battery is good, very good and charging speed is awesome. I have a mi band 4 connected all day and my battery lasts for a good 7-8 hours of screen on time. Thats impressive.
One thing the Realme UI can improve is force impose 90hz on games, most games and i mean almost 98% of games do not support 90hz on this. The alto's oddyssey which technically supports 90hz is locked at 60fps so realme ui should roll out an update to force unlock 90fps on games.
Thats it, conclusion is, best for its price, go for it and you wont regret. 👍
