Realme 6i didn't get to participate in the launch eventof the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro, but that has more to do with strategy than with its shortcomings as a phone. In India, where the event was held, the 6i will be called Realme Narzo 10 and will get its own announcement, once the COVID-19 lockdown is over.

As luck would have it we got unit and as is the norm we will share some early impressions before we begin work on the full review.

Realme 6i in for review

The Realme 6i's predecessor - Realme 5i - is just three months old, but the rate at which Realme is evolving means we are still getting plenty of upgrades. The 6.52” LCD now has a 16MP f/2.0 camera inside its waterdrop notch.

The back has new paint jobs and the main camera has received a significant update.

The main shooter now has a 48MP 1/2” sensor. That's a sensor we know from the Realme 5 Pro and Realme X and it should deliver results way above the 6i's price tag. The other three snappers are carried over from the 5i - 8MP ultrawide unit and two 2MP modules for depth and macro.

Realme 6i is comes with the brand new Mediatek Helio G80 chipset and boots Android 10 with Realme UI on top.

The Realme 6i comes with the same big 5,000mAh battery as the 5i, but it has been upgraded to support 18W fast charging. The Realme 5 and Realme 5s also have 5,000 mAh power cells and they both are in the Top 5 of our Endurance Rating - we don’t see why wouldn’t Realme 6i reach similar heights.

There are a lot of promising features that we are willing to test. Stay around for the full review.
