Faizan, 02 Mar 2025When realme 8 5g will get an android update and security patches.I don't think there will be any more updates for this phone. This phone is a 2021 model. The manufacturer claims 3 years of updates (including 2 years of system updates and 3 years of security patches). So support for this phone will end in the summer of 2024.

End of October 2024. Over three years since the release of this beautiful smartphone. Version 8/128GB, anroid 13, all updates installed, security patch for June 5, 2024. Everything works great, super device. Too bad realme no longer releases updates for this device.

Don't buy this phone, but if you did, just be careful with their "software updates". the touch panel become unresponsive after updating it. I bought a replacement for it bcz I thought it might be just the screen cuz ive been using it for 2 yrs. But then it happened again a year later after a software update. lost some important stuff on that phone but whatever, i ain't gon spend another buck on a faulty phone.

OS info is kinda outdated because I'm currently using Android 13 Realme UI 4 on Realme 8 5G, Please update.

the fingerprint had some issues on it's sensors when I used it for 2 yrs, the cameras good tho, also the gpu can't even handle 3-6 games with 17GB of storage+ram

After the latest update. Battery drain so fast. Connectivity and data slowed down.
