I have purchased it last month. To be honest i purchased it only for the camera. Yeah i need a good set of camera. Then i came to know about the new samsung HM6 sensor is being used here and don't get me wrong i was not running after megapixels . Well, keeping video part aside, I have some issues regarding this camera centric phone.
1. The raw file (.dng) is not great. I had redmi note 7 pro before this which have sony imx 576, shoots better raw file. If your shot went under-exposed, one can easily pull up details but not in the case of realme 9 4G. There are some kind of annoying noise ,not like usual noise. Color noise can be reduced with color noise cancellation, but in realme 9 it got some purple magenta noise which cannot be fixed . Only way to fix this is to reduce the saturation of those two color, sometimes it also gives red-orange noise which is also some weird kind.
2. My second issue is regarding 3rd party camera apps. If you switch to camera2api , It's dng file is almost useless. Even if you got perfectly exposed photo it still gives those purple magenta noise over the entire image and it's not random , appears in a grid pattern.
3. Using camera flash on faces is looks like somebody painted them with yellow color.
Well these are my problems. I am mentioning it because it's a camera centric phone so I was expecting camera department will do a great job but.........
I know performance will not be great in this soc and i am not going to complain about that. There is jitter and frame drops everywhere.
Conclusion is I am not going to recommend anyone to buy this if you really want a better camera phone in this segment buy "Redmi note 10 pro max". Dont go after megapixels, search for sensor sizes. In the world of camera the bigger the better except "f/"

When I put brightness below 50% to 70% in realme 9 4g colors become very dull color and low saturation compare to other AMOLED phone with same 50% brightness level

Display is laughably small. With this proportion they are pushing it's too narrow for a 6.4. Should return to 18.5:9 at least, 6.4 in that case would make sense.

I am looking for a phone for long term use and good camera quality...which one would be better between Redmi note 11 and realme 9? Or Redmi note 11 pro?

I see some people arguing how bad the Realme 9 is. Try to compare Realme 9 with other similar-priced devices from other brands (especially Oppo and Vivo) and you'll see that this device actually offers you more.

This phone is not great for the price. Overall just average. My experience:
1) The battery just lasts one day. For a 5000mAh battery, this is quite inadequate. My previous Vivo Y17 easily gave me 2 days.
2) The camera is very bad in performance. Colors are not natural. There is a lag in the camera too. Takes time to focus. Sometimes doesn't focus at all, especially when taken from the Whatsapp camera. Have to click using the phone camera mode and then upload it to Whatsapp.
3) The proximity sensor is not strong. On calls, the phone screen is usually on.
4) Phone hung the second day. Had to do a reset and now its okay.
5) Not too fast for the price and specs.
This phone can be easily skipped and avoided for a better phone.

That's why they have to put cheap ones for this phone? Or you are a person who loves another brand and hate Realme. Every entry level or lower mid-range phones have plastic body/frame. And none of them fill like metallic or non-plastic.
