There is no sense in buying a 4600mah phone with 240W brick at that price tag cause one is paying more for a silly gimmick that will cost them battery life in long run. Better hope for a global launch of 5000 mah and 150W version with lower price tag (similar to 1+ 11R). Otherwise it will be a big fail considering the aggressive price of 11R.

I think the global version pricing is pretty terrible. 8+128 will cost you $649. But the Chinese version 8+256 only costs $370.

i don't think there will be a point in my life where im like: ''crap, i have 10 minutes until i leave home and my phone is flat''. don't get me wrong i am not against charging speed inprovements and all but... is 240 watts on a phone really necessary?

The SoC of GT3(8+Gen1) is way better than GT2(888), even GT2 pro(8 Gen1). For the large battery capacity, it has indeed decreased in terms of the quantity of mAh, but every year the quality of battery power also depends on the performance of the SoC, System Memory, heat generated, performance, etc. of the Smartphone.
