The GT Neo 5 (150W) is supposed to charge from 0% to 100% in 16 minutes. However, the charging speed for the phone is not as advertised. Starting with the battery at 10%, it took 20 - 21 minutes to reach 100%. I can't recommend this phone for this reason alone.

Is rooting the phone, giving show all notifications permission to always on display then unrooting the phone a good idea?
To fix the irritating issue of always on display only showing notifications for system apps.
Does anybody know if this is a firmware bug or made intentionally?

Has anybody tried flashing RMX3709 on Gt Neo5 150 watt version? Is it Global or Russian ROM? If it's Russian, does it have bothering Russian apps like on the Chinese ROM?

Ayman Gado, 03 Oct 2023I've received my realme gt neo5, so far everything is ... moreI've been digging deep to find the root cause of the problem and I found it was because of restrictions in China, they only want the always on display to show notifications of system apps thinking that might boost their in-app purchases, weird way of thinking!!!

I've received my realme gt neo5, so far everything is great apart from one irritating problem, WhatsApp notifications don't show on always on display, I made sure that all notifications for WhatsApp were allowed, all permissions granted, power saving deactivated, I even tried GT mode, but still I'm not getting WhatsApp notifications on Always on display, the only way to check for WhatsApp new messages is to unlock the device and see..
I guess it might be an issue with the Chinese ROM, I have the latest version updated on the 1st of October that I installed right after getting the device..
The question is, has anybody been facing the same issue? Has anybody tried flashing the global official GT3 firmware on GT Neo5? Does that disable NFC and OTA updates? I can do that myself, but will the device not get any OTA updates if I do it?
