There is literally no good reason why it should have ever been removed: Can't be made thin, can't have water protection, all of them are bullshit and there are phone with those features and that have a 3.5mm jack and even SD card slot.

... moreIt'll obviously heat up quite a bit when using the packaged charger, which will be either 150 or 240 watts depending on which model you take.
The battery life I can't really know for sure how long, but a 5000mah packed in the 150W model alongside the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will surely give it enough battery life to last you an entire day.
