I want to buy this phone but I see people complain because the battery drains fast. I am not a gamer, I will not use this phone to play games and I expect it to last at least one day and a half. Is that ok, should I buy this phone?

mysky, 28 Sep 2022I was told that Narzo 50 is basically the same as Realme 8.... moreI have a Narzo 50A Prime (essentially rebranded C35). It's quite decent looking, in my opinion it looks more expensive then my 9 Pro+. Performance is ok for daily tasks, and the relatively bare Realme UI R may be a positive if you liked stock Android.
C35 pros: great battery life, good looks, good display for the price
Cons: lack of software features, Unisoc chipset can get rather warm, feels cheap when held
I'm currently ordering a Narzo 50 (8i is rather rare here), since I was dissatisfied with the barebones UI --I'm used to ColorOS and would much prefer a custom Android skin over bare Android.
What I didn't like about Realme UI R:
- no three finger scroll screenshot
- camera app feels like old phones --it even has "Super Fine" as quality setting just like old phone cameras
- no stock gallery except Google Photos which when disabled the stock camera app can't open any other gallery app
- quick notification shade is very limited and looks like it came from a cheap unbranded Chinese phone
- overall feels unpolished
Again, if you don't mind the barebones UI, C35 is a decent choice. It has the looks and excellent battery backup that doesn't sacrifice daily performance. It compromises some things for its pros, which others in this price range does as well.

mysky, 28 Sep 2022I was told that Narzo 50 is basically the same as Realme 8.... moreWhat is your budget anyway? Since you were checking the Realme 9, I will assume that your budget is around 300 dollars.
At that price, the best phone hands down is the A52s 5G which can be found at 290-300 dollars. It has the best combination of everything you would need. Amazing AMOLED screen at 120Hz which means using apps is a very smooth and snappy experience. Reliable software with decent amount of updates, a very strong (but not flagship) processor, the SD 778G which is practically future proof for another 3-4years. Good cameras with OIS that can actually capture 4K. Stereo speakers for watching movies, vidoes and playing music. A generally decent battery. Its basically a jack of all trades for midrangers.
If no A52s is available, then the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 11 Pro 5G are good. Note 10 Pro has slightly better cameras (since it can actually capture 4K) but Note 11 Pro 5G has a stronger processor and is newer so it gets more future updates. . Both have good AMOLED screens and big fat batteries.
Other options worth checking out at around 300 dollars or less are the vanilla A52 5G, POCO F3 and X3 Pro. The Motorola G82 and G71 seems decent options as well but I have no idea on the OS update side for Motorola

I was told that Narzo 50 is basically the same as Realme 8. Is this true? Realme C35 also has good specs. Realme 9 is the latest launched but I don't know the difference to be compared to Narzo 50? Value for your money, specs wise. What do you suggest I buy? A phone that would last for 4 years or more. I'm not a gamer but more on pictures, music, voice calls, SMS, online search. I appreciate any inputs. Thank you

This phone keep restarting itself even after I turn off the device by pressing down and off button but the problem is still there. Please stay away from this device if you're planning to buy one. Not recommended at all.

Narzo 50 Pros:
✓120 Hz screen,
✓33 W charging (included in box),
✓superb battery 12+ hrs screen time (60 Hz refresh rate), 8 to 9 hrs ( full 120 Hz), 10hrs + (with adaptive setting), casual usage.
✓Okay-ish connection (but still quite dependable) in WiFi and LTE,
✓Straightforward realme UI, fluid interface, customizable,
✓Gaming capable (mine with 4GB version) although sluggish in heavy gaming. Thanks to Helio G96.
✓okay- ish camera
Cons:
- runs quite hot in heavy intensive usage (long browsing or playing heavy games)
- no nfc
- not dependable on multitasking, can't hold more than 4 apps at the same time.
- low brightness in daylight conditions, goodluck taking in outside.
For $140ish this is quite bang for the buck if you are on a budget. Hope it hold for 2 or 3 years if android developers don't jump feature or animation too much on future Android version.
The refresh rate and the 33W charger would be standard for $140 phone soon.

Huntz, 05 Sep 2022But amoled is prone to screen burn so for me IPS is okayAgree.. I had Samsung M51 which I used for more than 1.6 years and the screen got burn in on status bar and navigation bar (top and bottom portion of the screen). Now using Realme 8i, the IPS quality is pretty good and it is the same phone as Narzo 50 just rebranded. I don't miss the AMOLED anymore. I would take a good quality IPS over AMOLED anyday. Unfortunately, smartphone companies these days are increasingly adopting AMOLED displays, that leaves us IPS LCD lovers with fewer choice.
