Realme Q2 teased by company exec, will have a leather back panel

Yordan, 09 October 2020

Realme Q2 is expected to arrive this month, and today the CMO of the brand, Xu Qi Chase, posted an official teaser of the phone. The handset appears to have a light-gray leather panel on the back with “Dare To Leap” embedded into the texture. We also see a four-cam setup in the upper right corner, with the main shooter having a 48MP sensor.

Another thing we can make out of this official render is a standard power key on the right (the volume rocker is on the left-hand side). This means the phone is likely to have a fingerprint scanner under the front panel, meaning it will be an OLED screen.

This particular camera arrangement is also seen in the Realme X7 lineup, as well as on the back of the Realme V5 5G. A popular leakster going by the name “Digital Chat Station” on Weibo said we should expect two phones - Realme Q2 and Realme Q2 Pro. He also mentioned some key specs, and they all look the same as the X7 family sans the camera.

The big question is whether Realme will relaunch the X7 and X7 Pro with a less impressive camera under a new name or is the company hiding something else up its sleeve. So far, we expect a local event on Tuesday, October 13, and at this point, we can only hope the new Realme Q phone/s will be available outside China.

Looks interesting and I presume this should be a budget mid-range device with Dimensity 800U chipset. When is it coming to India?

Looks like a pretty good option and even the Mediatek processor in this is something that people would love to have.
