Red Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro coming to India on September 4

If you’ve been holding off on buying a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro because it doesn't have the right paintjob for you, this might bring you some joy. Xiaomi is launching a red edition of the device in India and it will be available for purchase starting tomorrow.

A tweet posted by Redmi’s official Indian Twitter handle makes an announcement to stay tuned for a follow-up Tweet tomorrow, September 4 at 10AM for further details on availability.

The timing of this announcement is quite close to the launch of the next Redmi device. In fact, Xiaomi sent invites to the media just last week for a supposed launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 set for September 6.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro first launched back in March in India in several color configurations including Black, Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold. It has a 6-inch display with FHD+ resolution, a 12MP + 5MP dual camera on the back, and a Snapdragon 636 chipset with 4GB Of RAM.

Where I'm coming from RN3 starts at 160€, Poco at 340€, that's more than double by my calculations.

Lol you kidding, right? RN5Pro is 15k (17k for 6/64), Poco starts at 21k for 6/64. Applying the maths that I know, it is way less than "double" of that price 😂
