Redmi K20 to keep its name in India
Redmi K20 arrived, claiming to be a flagship killer 2.0, and it looks like it will appear under different monikers in various markets. Some rumors claimed it will be called Poco F2 in India, but now we got a confirmation that this won't be the case.
Manu Kumar Jain, global Xiaomi VP and head of Xiaomi India posted some pictures of billboards on Twitter, revealing the advertising campaign about the phone has already started and it will carry the Redmi K20 name.
Redmi K20 posters around India
The whole campaign is targeting the original flagship killer - OnePlus. Most of the billboards are positioned nearby an existing poster with Robert Downey Jr. and his OnePlus 7 Pro. The Redmi K20 promo is having a neat wordplay with that, claiming to be Starkly Superior To The Latest One, a nod to RDJ’s role as Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist better known as Iron Man. The font of the word “One” is exactly as the one in the OnePlus logo - the Xiaomi creative department really outdid itself this time.
Speaking about the actual phone, leaked retail box of the Mi 9T confirmed it will be pretty much the same handset with the Snapdragon 855 chipset (or its cheaper alternative with SD730), three cameras on the back and an elevating selfie shooter.
Prices of the Poco F1 started at around INR22,000 last year and we expect similar price tag this time - if we can trust the conversion rates, the Redmi K20 could start from INR19,999, while the cheapest Redmi K20 Pro is likely to be at least INR25,000.

But at about half the price, the K20 Pro is worth the sacrifices you make versus the 7 Pro... The only things you lose out on are the software of Oneplus, and the display refresh rate... They even have the same Sony IMX586 sensor.... Ads are a re...
