Redmi K80 Pro flagship chipset confirmed, more specs appear online
Redmi will launch the K80 Pro on November 27, and today, we learned more details about the phone. The brand shared the key specs on its Weibo profile, including the new flagship chipset by Qualcomm, a massive battery and an IP68 + IP69 rating.
Redmi K80 Pro coming with Snapdragon 8 Elite is not a surprise, as company officials have already teased the phone to be extremely fast and powerful. It will also have a D1 chip that will control the display to attempt and boost the frame rate and resolution in certain apps ang games.
The phone is shaping up to be a true flagship and will have a 3D cooling solution, which is likely a massive vapor chamber. It will also be extremely durable – ingress protection is one thing, but it will have an extra strong glass on top of the QHD screen.
Xiaomi's 6,000 mAh battery in the Redmi K80 Pro will mark the first time a cell with such capacity has reached the Redmi K lineup. The phone will support 120W wired charging and will see the return of wireless charging at 50W; the feature was introduced to the series with the Redmi K60 Pro but was later omitted from the K70 family.
