Redmi Note 14 5G and Redmi Buds 6 announced

Xiaomi's announcements keep piling up and the latest additions are the Redmi Note 14 5G and Redmi Buds 6. Note 14 joins the Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ as the entry-level device in the series while the Buds 6 are the latest in-ear TWS from the Xiaomi sub-brand.

Redmi Note 14 is built around a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120hz refresh rate. It gets up to 2,100 nits peak brightness and features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Redmi Note 14 gets MediaTek’s Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Hybrid Dual SIM slot also supports microSD card expansion.

The back houses two cameras – a 50MP main shooter using Sony’s LYT-600 sensor with OIS and a 2MP macro lens. You also get a 16MP front-facing camera which is housed inside the punch hole cutout on the display.

The software side is covered by Xiaomi Hyper OS based on Android 14 while the battery comes in at 5,110mAh and supports 45W charging.

Redmi Note 14 5G comes in Starry White, Phantom Blue, and Midnight Black colors. Pricing starts at CNY 1,199 ($170) for the 6/128GB trim and tops out at CNY 1,699 ($245) for the 12/256GB version. Open sales in China are scheduled to begin soon.

Redmi Buds 6

Redmi Buds 6 arrive as the successor to last year’s Redmi Buds 5 and bring several key upgrades.

Buds 6 feature dual drivers with 12.4mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers and 5.5mm piezoelectric tweeters. The Buds feature Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and support dual device pairing.

The active noise cancelation (ANC) system now drowns out up to 49dB of surrounding noise and features the same three modes. The new buds also get 360 spatial audio and offer adjustable EQ profiles inside the Xiaomi Headphones app.

Battery life has been boosted to 42 hours of total playtime from the buds and their charging case.

Redmi Buds 6 come in White, Black, and Cyan colors and retail for CNY 199 ($30).

If you were pay attention looking at the images for a seconds you would have notices there 3.5mm jack on Redmi note 14.
