Redmi Note 3 to be unveiled at Xiaomi's November 24 event, new teaser confirms

While we were expecting it to be called the Redmi Note 2 Pro all this while, turns out the new Xiaomi smartphone - which is scheduled be unveiled at an event on November 24 in China - will instead be called the Redmi Note 3.

This was revealed by Xiaomi itself in a teaser image (shown above) posted on its official Weibo account. So, we'll see the successor to the Redmi Note 2 smartphone - which was released back in August this year - being made official tomorrow.

Xiaomi President Lin Bin also recently posted a teaser image of the device on his Weibo account, revealing a metal design and fingerprint sensor on the back.

From what is known till now, the handset will be powered by MediaTek's MT6795 (Helio X10) chipset, and sport a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It will come in 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB memory configurations and feature a 5MP/13MP camera combo. Weighing in at 165.97g and measuring 49.98×75.96×8.75mm, the smartphone is rumored to pack in a large 4,000mAh battery.
