redsn0w beta for iPhone OS 4.0 released for devs

The cat and mouse game between Apple and hackers goes on - a beta version of the redsn0w jailbreak tool has been released for developers of jailbroken apps. It's still in the early stages, but it should help developers of jailbroken apps to make sure their apps are up and ready for when the fourth version of iPhone OS makes its way to users.

The iPhone Dev Team specifically warns that this release - redsn0w 0.9.5 BETA is not meant for regular users. Also, it doesn't activate the iPhone, you need to do that through proper channels (have a developer UDID registered with Apple). Still this is good news as a proper user-suited version can't be too far away now.

The beta of redsn0w 0.9.5 works only on iPhone 3G with 4.0beta1 firmware and is only compatible with Mac OS X for now. It should not be used on phones with carrier unlock or if you've used yellowsn0w, ultrasn0w, or blacksn0w.

The redsn0w 0.9.5 BETA page has more information on how to install it, fix Cydia after the install, and go back to the 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 firmware.

get your iPhone from vodafone were in store they register it and everything/ u dont need a comp just a itunes accoutn which can be set up on the phone while in store! see vodafoen going the extra mile!
