Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 review: Pros and gones

14 February 2014
Samsung is trying hard to diversify its tablet lineup and bring a little something for everyone to the market. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is the middle child of the premium segment, or as a more succinct description would put it a Galaxy Note tablet...

I bought the tab pro 10.1 lte T525 2 weeks ago, the colour of the right quarter of the screen above the home button is usually different in both the landscape and portrait modes nearly in all applications except camera and games, sometimes it returns to normal and sometimes no, can anyone help in this annoying problem.

After I bought the Tab Pro 10.1 I was at first a bit dissapointed on the benchmarks. Good but not excellent; Geeckbench 3 only 2510 and Antutu only 31989. Then I discovered that the setting CPU-savings was on. Switching this off meant a big change:
Geeckbench now 2846 (=multi core, single core 939) and Antutu up to 36946.

I really want to buy this tablet, but I struggle finding out on the internet if I will be able to read CF Cards (CompactFlash Pro DSLR memory cards). Does anyone know?(I've read the section about OTG)
        Thanks very much

Samsung tries too hard. We're barely six weeks into the year and they've released three different sized tablets (one of which already has a Note version), a lite version, another Galaxy Grand and Note variant, Galaxy Mega plus, Galaxy Star, and not forgetting the variants and colours.
No wonder they are so dominant.

I don't know about you, but tablets are replacing e-book readers. For the less tech savvy amongst us, who just want Facebook, the Internet and games, they are replacing PC's and laptops.

The Note 10.1 2014 has 3GB of RAM, the Note Pro 10.1 has only 2GB of RAM, and yes, that is relevant if you are using the Multople windows and such a high resolution for apps. So, my choice would be the Note 2014.

70 grams don't seem like a big issue to me. Also, I suspect the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition might be cheaper since it's already been around for a good while. If (and I stress the IF) that's the case, I'd rather have the Note, with 70 grams worth of extra weight and the S Pen. Because, as I said back when the devices were announced, I'd rather have the S Pen and not use it than not have it and realize I need it.
