If samsung had introduced GS5 with 4gb of ram, snapdrogon 805,4000 mAh bettery,QHD screen, metal body,obviously it would have won over many of the critics but then it would have arrived at the stores for a 1000$ or more!! making it a phone with useless extraordinary power and would have still be used as a phone for making calls and blah blah blah... so, i'd go for current GS5 which i can afford and enjoy with the best smartphone till date..

First of the chip in the 7th Iphone known as the 5s, is arm v8. It's an improved architecture. Just like A-15's are better than A-9's.
Second IOS is a crippled OS using full system wide lock down to create the illusion that it's perfect and supremely coded to run things really fast. When all it is are restrictions making things a little smoother.
Meanwhile flip phones before the Iphone still lack certain restrictions IOS has now or took years to lose.

If it's allready higher res. than your eye can see, it's just retarded to want more. It really is. But that's a typical Android-fan obsession.
Why do you want more than 2,5ghz?
iPhone 5s is a good example, it's extremely fast at everything, using a two core 1,3ghz cpu.
Isn't four or eight cores with twice the ghz just just a waste of hardware?
Stop looking at specs, look at performance instead.

And now Samsung is copying Sony for water proofing? Ok. Well Sony is copying dual speakers, HD recording and playback, higher mega pixel camera, and dual speakers, 3gb ram, and stuff like from Samsung.
The Z series is a great set and most people would be happy no matter what they chose. But there are facts and specific advantages. And those favor Samsung.

Not much has been added yo the s5 compared to s4. Should have 24 megapixels cam and runs with 3ghz of RAM. These additional features should have made s5 a better competitor in the cellphone industry.

The jump to USB port 3.0 means none of my USB chargers will work with it. It isn't that much better than what I have now to justify the new contract and replacing all the chargers I have gotten over the years. Great device, I'll pass.
