Nokia N73 review: Pole position

28 August 2006
Being the best equipped handset ever Nokia N73 has managed to overrun the king of all mobiles - the slider Nokia N80. It features Symbian OS, 3 megapixels backed up by the label of Carl Zeiss, USB Mass Storage, and works with office documents. Nokia N73 has a brilliant phonebook and a good time organizer as well as an exceptional Internet browser. The interest in this new Nokia phone is overwhelming worldwide.

"...USB Mass Storage, and works with office documents. Nokia N73 has a brilliant phonebook and a good time organizer as well as an exceptional Internet browser." - Include PDF viewer, wifi, better video, included 128mb memory card and 3.5" audio jack adapter, higher resolution display all in a more attractive package, and voila... You have an N80!

I read the review, I have to disagree with it, the N80 is a far better phone, it has wi-fi, great camera as well (even without auto focus) and video in highest res is certainly not choppy and the N80 certainly looks a whole lot sleeker and professional (esp. in black). Having experienced both phones first hand, the only thing id say is better on n73 is the sound from it's dual speakers, but honestly, how frequently are you going to be playing music out of your phone? Zeiss optics, manual shutter, autofocus, sounds good and all, but at the end of the day, difference in pic quality between N80 and n73 is negligible if any. The N73 has nothing on the N80! Long live the KING!

I've had the N73 for nearly 4months now. Its a gud, brilliant mobile.. I havent use to InfraRed, couldnt download the remote control. but the camera is nice, 3.2MP. Not that bad. Sound quality is very gud. Joystick instead of keypad, is just easier to use.
But it is really really slow. Its takes long time to activate keylock, to open applications, to use camera. If only there could be a dual core in it. Lolz..
                    But its a nice gadget.

Hi, just got N73 2 weeks ago and today got a few calls, i could hear the other side but they couldn't hear me at all. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem, please post a comment. The other thing with this phone is that the battery goes quick, otherwise it' been fine.. thanks paulo

Can 3d games be played on the n73 just like that on n-gage without any problems? Which kind of 3d games are likely to pose problems for n73? Causing it to be flashed or totally not usable, pls respond i do not want to lose my phone.

                              Thank you.

The 2nd camera is so bad i can't video call at night.
Even photoshooting cannot shoot unless with light support.
