GSMA why you continue to label the lack of a user-replaceable battery as a "what's missing"??? It's just that some manufacturers in some models don't want the user to mess with the battery because they can install a bad model or a fake battery and not having a snap-on cover has some structural and design advantages too.
Most phones are only used for 2-3 years and if you want to use it for more you can still change the battery or have it changed in a repair shop. Some manufacturers prefer a solid frame and some people too, just like some models use IPS screens and some AMOLED; they're just different features, so stop considering this a problem, it's absurd.

These 'compact' versions of flagships should be at least 150-200 euro cheaper to be more succesfull. And smaller, I think.

AnonD-109004, 26 May 2014HTC!! EPIC failure!!! I dont know whos the head in pricing ... moreIt's because HTC thinks the general public are sheep. Sure some of their brainless zealots are but the vast majority of the general public are not sheep like HTC thinks in their distortion field enveloped world.

length/width should be 2, or lower. for instance 130mm length / 65mm width = 2. Why? Well, to get a ratio that is closer to beauty. The taiwanese here go wrong at the very start of its design. The speakers are to important i guess, to them. At 65 mm width, 125 mm height would have been super (or lower).
137 mm height is pathetic. In short; f**k the speakers.

Z1c eats this. I am disappointed htc. You can do much better. But for now sony i the king of "mini phones". If z2c has stereo speakers and the same impressive battery life as z2. It will be the best once again.

Apart from the HTC design and decent front and rear camera + speakers - how is this worth nearly 4 moto g's? Moto G has same chip set and graphics. Like someone else said - they should have given it a snapdragon 600 with adreno 320 graphics. If Sony put stereo speakers in its z2 mini then it will make this phone look very overpriced. Its not mini - its not flagship quality and you could buy 2 HTC one flagships from last year for the price of this.

yazan, 26 May 2014I am very disappointed from HTC in the RAM/GPU department a... moreThey don't have 320 GPUs with less than Krait 300 cores. The SoCs offered are fixed. Cores and GPUs are not offered as licenses to mix and match. Qualcomm offers complete chips to the OEMs.
That said I agree it is a pathetic excuse they couldn't atleast go with the SD 600s, they have the 2nd gen 320s GPUs which have more ALUs than the first gen 320s. 24 in the 2nd gen and 16 ALUs in the 1st gen. The HTC one mini 2 isn't going to be cheap either.

I am very disappointed from HTC in the RAM/GPU department and the price department ((it is outrageously ridiculous)).
Am okay with the processor as it is but the RAM should have at least bean 1.5GB and the GPU should have at least been an Adreno 320 :( .

Well, Z1 Compact with its current and probably following price drops is still winning against any "Mini" versions. Just do not call it Mini, call it HTC One Light, Samsung Galaxy S5 Ace or whatever....just abusing the flaghip´s name.
