i'm excited about the new products,only wish the gear s had cameras,so taking pictures and making video calls would be possible seems incomplete without this.

This forum is littered with lots of jealous iFanboys. They hate to see a superior device than their beloved iPhone. Just simply look at the specs:

Quad core or octa core vs dual core, 16MP camera with OIS vs 8MP camera, 3GB RAM vs 2GB RAM, 3000mAh battery vs 1810, 524ppi pixel density vs 416, 2160p vs 1080p video recording.
So there's every reason for them to be envious.

This is technology we're talking about and Samsung is an electronics manufacturing company aside from many things like a smartphone maker. Did you really think no one else aside from Apple has brains to think about these possible technological gadgets when Samsung and other oems are precisely companies which make gadgets?
When Samsung came out with the galaxy gear, Ifans kept saying it was to get ahead of the launch of the iwatch or whatever apple watch which doesn't even exist except in the delusional Isheep minds. Never mind that smart watches are already there even before the gear.

Where is dust profing and ... morePersonally I find this phone a complete disappointment. USB accessories that were for the Note 3, that I currently use, will not be compatible with this phone if they are USB 3. I also notice Samsung will not give a straight answer to a straight question about charging the battery. How long using the provided charger and cable will it take to charge from 0% to 100%? Not 50% or anything else. 100%. It's no good to me if you need a special charger that charges to 50% in 30 minutes and then takes 4 hours for the next 50%.
The lack of any water resistance is a complete let down too. After all the S5 is! Being afraid to use a phone in the rain in this day and age on a top of the range phone is ridiculous IMHO. Sony can manage it.
The battery and display. Despite the phone being physically larger the display is no bigger and the battery is less than 1% larger terms of capacity. Pathetic! So the old batteries will not fit in the new phone but the new ones add no tangible difference. Nothing less than a money making scam in my book. So as I understand it and feel free to correct me if I am mistaken, the default battery and charger from the Note 3 will not work with the Note 4 and we have no real idea of total charging time using the provided items.
I also really remain to be convinced that QHD on a screen that is less than 6 inches will show any discernible difference to a 1080P one. I actually suspect that most 4K large screen displays will revert to 1080P when presented with QHD content and then try to upscale. So the reality is that the QHD display will not even manage to display full quality QHD even on a 4K screen. Thus making this nothing more than a stupid sales gimmick.

Note 4: nothing new. actually in the presentation looks like response is not that good
Note Edge: boring. Is there an API for that edge so developers can do more interesting stuff?
Gear: really? 3G and WIFI and its own SIM card.. i guess battery was super powerful on previous version, right?

I never thought there will be any real practical use of a QHD display on a phone until the Note 4 implemented it for VR purpose. That's just genius! And just stupidly gorgeous, I can only imagine, since it's a Super Amoled type of the latest tech. The Oculus DK 2 only uses the Note 3 display and people are already in awe.

Have you ever seen a QHD Super Amoled display? Maybe on a 75" TV, right? Wrong, the TVs only have Oled display, not Super Amoled. Now imagine how crazy beautiful a Super Amoled 100+ inch display would be and that's the Note 4 combined with the Gear VR! How crazy is that?! And you can take it anywhere you go, AND it's NOT just a flat screen, not even just a 3D screen, it's a virtual reality display! And it just cost you around a thousand dollar! (Mind blown!) Boom!!...

There was a rumour of Oculus going to iOS, so Samsung made one.
Any sort of rumour, Samsung will make it, even if terrible, and make a press conference.
It's their "See? We did it first man!" strategy.
They don't even care about sales figures, they just make a few of each, but mass produce whatever becomes popular. That's why when something very high end becomes very popular from Samsung, they start introducing variant models, because they start cutting down on quality, like reducing RAM here, using an inferior CPU there, for cost reasons.
