Apple iPhone 6 Plus review: Following the curve

30 September 2014
Apple caved to market pressure and created a phablet. This may sound as blasphemy but it’s not the first time Cupertino is seen reacting to rivals getting too confident, too aggressive – too close for comfort. The first iPad mini had to respond back in...

You do update for battery test on S5, S6 and Note 4 with new software. Why you don't do the same with iPhones? New iOS 8.3 which is much beter with battery life.

I didn't like this phone because of the protruding camera, large bezels and hardware home key which makes the phone larger than a normal 5.5 phone and ugly. The output from the sound is below average.

The iPhone is blasphemy to the mobile industry.
They are the cause for mass mobile technology stagnation. They have a strangle hold on Carriers with dubious anti-competition based contracts that force Carriers to manipulate consumers into buying overpriced iPhones. If not Carriers are forced to pay Apple $Billions in damages.

What this industry needs is less under-powered, over-priced iPhones run by an obsolete iOS and a lot more BB10 hardware and Software.
BB10 is technologically far superior. It's intuitive, advanced gesture based OS powered by the all mighty QNX micro-kernel, that's self healing and highly efficient. The same QNX that runs MRI machines, Nuclear Power Plants, National defense systems, NASA space craft and equipment etc.

BB10 is easy to use, far more efficient, intelligent, intuitive, multitasking down to the core. By far the most advanced mobile OS ever released to date. BB10 is 2018 where as iOS is 2007.

All the summaries that Apple has been a technology leader are erroneous. Before iPod, there were other disk based players, there were PDA's and other devices before iPhone, there were other hardware implementations before just about everything they introduced to the market. The same goes for enhancements, e.g. video on iPod, etc. What Apple did, was to take this stuff out of "propeller head" domain, and brought it to non-technical user until the User Interface and the ecosystem was ready. (For example NFC with the pay application makes lot more sense to me than the silly friend's phone bumping. I had several ways to transfer pictures with other people without physically bumping their phones.)

They continue doing the same thing. As the "telephones" become internet devices and multimedia devices, the "size matters". Younger people do lot more texting than phoning, browsing than watching TV and streaming will soon replace other methods of Audio and Video distribution, so as portability is the norm, the screen size need has changed - so Apple responded. I am an older guy, and I appreciate the larger screen. When I used just the phone, I wanted the whole thing to fit in my ear. Things change. Apple didn't make a mistake, but even if they did, they would be stupid not to change with the market demands, no matter what who said in the past.

Even though I myself don't like all the Apple's heavy handiness, I like the ecosystem better. They always were and continue being solutions oriented, and making sure that whatever feature they offer, it actually works.

I found many items I cannot do (or do well) on my Samsung, so I am switching. I used to have the iPhone couple of years ago, and switching back and forth is a big pain courtesy Apple and Google. I would wish that I were rich enough to have both, but wishes don't pay the bills.

So I had to choose I pick the iPhone....

Those panoramic picture do show a lot of stitching issues on both the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. More so on the iPhone 6 plus. Look at the street at the bottom, the white paint lines on the street. Pretty bad.

I don't think MB buys engines, chassis and the rest from a different producer, they develop and produce their own, Apple doesn't develop and produce anything aside from the OS.
And a same category MB doesn't offer you less features than a KIA.....
