Not a Gionee fan myself but I will give them some credit for the engineering accomplishment of making a 5.1mm thick device without the camera lens protruding from the back of the phone.

AnonD-246216, 06 Dec 2014You are absolutely delusional if you think that we dont nee... more> "More pixels means that we can have sharper images and text"
More pixels also means that the phone has to work harder than a phone with less pixels and this will lead to lower performance (look at the lg g3 vs g2 graphics benchmarks and real life usage) and possibly worse battery life (if the screen is using LCD). There is little difference in perceived sharpness between 300 to 400 PPI and even smaller difference between 400 PPI and 500 PPI. Going above 300 - 400 PPI is pointless for a mobile device and will just hurt performance and battery.
> "And thin phones are always a welcome innovation. You can always charge your phone if you need to."
How is thinness innovation (seriously?) I would rather have a thick phone with excellent battery life rather than a blade-thin phone with terrible battery life (function over form).

AnonD-77443, 05 Dec 2014What do you know... average battery life from a super thin ... moreYou are absolutely delusional if you think that we dont need more pixels on our phones. Hello! More pixels means that we can have sharper images and text. You should get that through your tiny mind! And thin phones are always a welcome innovation. You can always charge your phone if you need to. Its not like there is a shortage of wall sockets out there! Get a grip, man!

I've been using a 1GB RAM phone for a while now and never ran into issues. And now according to this review, that's insufficient. I'm not really buying it. It's just another race of who has more - be it resolution or RAM.

the audio quality is no good AT ALL it's not even decent you can't hear sub bass on this phone, btw xiaomi is even worse with the same sub bass roll off plus treble roll off too. guess if you want a quality audio you can only go for big name like htc, samsung, or lg.

What do you know... average battery life from a super thin phone... at least it isn't QHD.
To all phone companies,
Stop the 500+ppi pixel race and stop aiming for sub 7mm and aim for 100hr battery life!!
Thank you,
