Higher resolution, new android version - it's like smaller Sony Xperia Z3 compact with worse audio quality.
You think it'd sell if price were 300-400$? Funny, portable players are withdrawing because of junk (in audio aspect) smartphones. Please, tell me how would you convince people than smartphone for 600$ is not enough, you still need portable player for 400 $, which beats smartphone only in audio quality. Otherwise smartphone can do same things, mostly far better.
Last one - you're not audiophile so don't try to comprehend them. And if you decide to, then at least try properly. They LOVE music, so for them it's not a problem to spend a lot of cash to buy audio gear. Take a look at (not really audiophile-like) head-fi.org - people buy expensive headphones (like ~1000$ for pair), because they spend cash for what they love. They are eager to spend some crazy cash for dac's, amplifiers, cables etc etc.
I'm sure your joking, if not then as your clearly insanely rich buy some decent headphones that will allow you to properly enjoy the hi-res sound
I'm definitely getting the Sony Walkman, it is overpriced but still, I'm getting myself one. My Beats by Dre coupled with this Walkman....
If you were a real audipohile you d buy a Marantz amplifier instead of a quality homecinema integrated one, and would pay a 1000-2000 $ more for it....
Same goes for Htcm8 quality sound and audiophiles expensive Sony walkman...

I'm Sorry if I am an audiophile I would go for an HTC one M8 and would get the same level as this in terms of mediaplaying
And even if I buy some proper headphones with it I would still Save a good 400-500$ if not more
It may be a great media player
But the price is just insane
And it is powered by a Small Low resolution and an old version of Android
And I'm sure it is underpowered as well
If it costs up to 300-400 $ it would have been accepted and would sell like hot cakes

For that kind of money I could buy myself an HTC One M8 and a proper headphone and I would pay around half of what this costs
YAWN! What a completely boring CES it's been, the worst to date. Now we have to wait for MWC and it's such a lond way away.
The Sony Walkman turned out to be absolute rubbish. Initially I was excited as I thought it was an inexpensive music player with amazing battery life, turns out it's an overpriced piece of crap. As a Sony fan I'm really dissapointed
Nokia 215 is the second most exciting phone after ASUS ZenFone 2. At least it one of the cheapest and beat backup phone. (Rather than just gimmicks)

I rather buy a razer headphone and listen music using my normal Xperia Z1C. 1,200$ for a Walkman device blinds my eye (3_3)
