samsung broke my heart :-( with their ignorant, poor and rude customer service. No matter how promising the commercials are, they make customers feel sorry for choosing their products. I'm sorry i will have to go for another brand next time.

Ultimately, Samsung will start hearing from their long time real customers when they stop buying. Removing the two major features of why we stick to Samsung are gone.
They've listened to too many iPhone users, and they won't be swayed to buy Android anyway. I really hope this is just a crazy experiment. If they do this with the Note 5, I'm really gone from buying any Samsung devices. I need that removable battery & expansion card slot. If they can do it with a dual SIM slot version for the Philippines, they can at least do it with an expandable memory card slot.

ckj69, 02 Mar 2015Totally agree...I have the S5 and definitely won't be getti... moreyes they did away with everything that made the S5 look like a cheap turd. For all the moaning and complaining about the S6 design one thing people fail to realise is the S5 didnt sell. and having a cheap back that you could peel off and add a SD card and replace the battery didnt work because people didnt buy it. so what i am trying to say is this just because they dont have that outdated system anymore is not really going to effect the sales because its been down hill anyway with or without removal storage of battery

Jay, 02 Mar 2015I watched the event last night and I am impressed with the ... moreTotally agree. You will value the sd card most as ur phone broke or damages. No one backup his phone always on time. Since i lost important pictures, videos and documents on a long journey i will never buy a phone without sd. And im not using cloud. I think its the same sales politics as apply, they make much more profit with internal storage, and the price for 32 gig is about 150 euro. You get a good 128 gig card for 90 euros already. But at least consumers decide about Success. We will see

Why do people keep talking about off contract prices most people will be getting this on contract and so wont have to pay $650 for it

The design is a knock-off from Apples (sides) and Sony (front and back). No microsd, no removable battery. It's almost like Samsung tries to fail deliberately by alienating its current customers and disregarding their needs and expectations in terms of their next phone.

Jay, 02 Mar 2015I watched the event last night and I am impressed with the ... moreFully agree, without expendable memory there are many better phones. if Samsung thinks they will attract Apple fans , I think they will loose Samsung fans to Apple and wiill more demand for S4,S5 etc. Than S6.

AnonD-213026, 02 Mar 2015samsung did a much better job with the note line than with ... moreTotally ignoring customers that don't want a phablet (which is a horrible word, as an aside) would likely not be a good business decision for samsung.
While I agree they should probably consolidate their range and do away with some of the "Prime Neo Super Mega Turbo Hat Adventure" models, stripping the Ss out would not be clever.

Was thinking about making the jump from Apple to Samsung. The big draw for me was the SD card slot, now with out that why switch? Hope thay don't remove that feature from the note line.

I watched the event last night and I am impressed with the design. they are good looking devices. The non-removable battery was to be expected based on the leaks. People on here are making 2 very incorrect statements.
1) Non-removal battery = non plastic/improved quality or materials.
What rubbish. there have been several phones with metal back cases AND removable batteries. this was a cost move not a feasibility move. Having to design a device with a removal battery with these material would have added another 10-20% to the already overpriced handset.
2) no SD due to improved material/design.
Samsung made several big digs at Apple and Sony in their little speech yesterday. but Sony can produce a water resistant device with glass front and back and metal and removable SD expandable memory and with no ugly camera bump and a decent battery.
Samsung cleverly skirted round the subject of the battery size and the fact we will be lucky to get a full day out of the device with having to charge it. they also think we are stupid enough to not remember that wireless charging was PROMISED to us in the SG3 unpack event. and that they have been waiting for the right time to implement it.
Samsung have bowed to the Iphone group and given them a device they may consider and stuck a finger up at their loyal fans.
I have been using a SG3 since day one of it release, I'm on my second battery. Been waiting for a device that was a true upgrade not an upgrade for the sake of it. The edge is nothing more than a gimmick and without an SD card slot not event going to consider the the S6.
As some have asked, with a 128GB version how much storage do you need. well my answer is this.
we'll see if any country actually gets any device other than the 32GB as Samsung have played this game many times before and secondly for local backup. I've had to swap out my phone twice since i have got it and having the ability to swap sim and SD got me back up and running within minutes, where as a cloud based solution would have taken ages to sync over mobile Data.
