Anonymous, 01 Apr 2015the other model is betterThat's up to the user and what they plan to use it for. Sure, I could get the top of the line version, but there's not a huge difference in screen quality from 720p to 1080p at these sizes, and the battery life is surely better with the 720p version.

Did I mention gaming is gonna be way better as it's 720p and has an overclocked iphone 5s GPU...?

the top of the line has a lot going for it, but only if you wanna spend the extra $120-150. If the battery life isn't significantly worse (say, less than 10%), I may get the one with 1080p/1.8GHz/4GB-RAM/32GB-ROM

Disappointing camera. Zenfone 6 got better camera than this. If you zoom in on the samples you'll know what I mean. And Asus keeps on using Li-po as the battery while Li-ion is better. Sony Xperia phones have Li-ion batteries that's why they always get outstanding battery life.

"the 5.5" display is impressively sharp at 403ppi and the bezels are incredibly thin - that's the reason Asus claims the Zenfone 2 provides a 5.5" viewing experience on a 5" shell"

Huh? Those bezels are most definitely NOT incredibly thin. What phone are you reviewing? Not eh Zenfone 2. I'm not saying the bezela are too thick, but they are in fact thicker then all the other flagship phones, without a doubt and nowhere near incredibly thin.

The phone is attractive, now is just down to, WHEN will it launch in USA, and what's the price in USA. You know, ATT and others love to bump the price like hell.

I think its Asus', not Asus's.

GSMarena, please pay more attention to the ZE550ML when review time comes. We need benchmarks and battery life scores for that model and the top model. Some of us are looking to get the ZE550ML

ASUS kinda has pretty decent devices lately. My sister has their MemoPad and it's quite good considering the price. I've seen Zenwatch reviews, ther smartwatch attempt. It looks freaking beautiful and amazingly well designed, far better than Apple's crap. And this Zenfone 2 again looks like very decent device. Not the top end but for the price, it will most likely offer A LOT of kit.
