For me, this review destroys the credibility of gsmarena as a source of unbiased reviews.
Looks like you've used some old international firmware well known for mediocre sound quality. Chinese firmware on 4.4.2 is out more than 4 months ago and it always had nearly perfect audio quality. And it has English language preinstalled. You should have done your research better.
BTW, where are audio tests in Hi-Fi mode in the review? Or is it an another Easter egg to discover for your reviewer?
P.S. The method of camera "pro mode" activation is shown in the popup when you first start the camera app. Looks like you've missed it among other things. Too bad.

I've nought this phone, the Elite model, it's been upgraded to 4.4.2 already with an update coming out a week ago.
The phone only cost me £250, and if you're saying I can get the Xperia Z3 for the same price, you must be kidding...
From the UK btw, had it shipped over from China.

AnonD-384455, 09 Apr 2015My MI3 is better, cheaper and a year and a half olderThe vivo xshot was released over 1 year ago. And I wouldn't say the mi3 is better. They are very similar but vivo xshot has some better features (except android version)

Early reviews of the xshot (with glossy back) show much better low light results than newer reviews. I've seen 1 or 2 other reviews also with this matte back and the reviewers were not impressed with low light results. I'm wondering if they have changed to a lower quality camera, or are late reviews just not as good at taking pictures?

I was considering of buying this phone. I had to choose between honor 6, meizu mx4, xiaomi mi4 and xshot.
I chose the honor 6, and Im pretty satisfied with it.
X shot is a really nice phone, but way too expensive for what it offers.

And this one is the thong that should mention in the review, the camera review.
Camera can manually adjust settings like iso, focus, exposure time and ev in pro mode.
Just swipe the capture button in the screen, then pro mode is ready to go.

The chinese version got 4.4 already.
Btw, the ultimate version got 8974AC @2.5Ghz 3GB Ram 32GB Rom not 2.3GHz
The elite one got 8974AA @2.3GHz 2GB Ram 16GB Rom
The elite one is the same as the international version.

Important to note this phone came out in China May of last year so in the benchmarks section some phones that scored better (like the Note 4 and Mi4) weren't even out yet.

Wow big surprise that you reviewed the Xshot, a phone so little known outside China. I was expecting better results in sound and camera departments, even better than my Xiaomi Mi Note LTE. Apparently that's not the case. You did make a mistake though: the camera app DOES have a Pro mode. Just swipe up from the shutter button. May I suggest Honor 6 plus as your next Chinese phone review? :) Thanks
