AnonD-10909, 17 Jun 2015hardware buttons ... in 2015. really .. ? no touch screen... moreIt offers the most important feature in any smartwatch - battery life of at-least a week. Most of the other watches die in less than a day which makes it a failure as a watch(the primary function).
Some compromises need to be made for others.

"Sunlight legibility of the display is top notch
So is the 30m water resistance"

How the legibility under 30m of water though?

Tempted swap my pebble steel for one of these once the steel version comes out. This one doesn't look great though.

I would not wear it even if someone would give me it for free... at least other watches look cool - so I would wear them randomly just to show off or as accesorie (tough there would not be any use to turn them on either)

Couldn't be more happy with this. Nice watch with features we actually care to use on a watch with a battery life good to plough through a week. Will be my watch till I find a worthy successor from Android or Apple stable.
