please brothers, this is not flagship and the price is lower than flagships.for sure if you don't pay flagships price so you would not get a flagships. some body said about GPU and have to know that powervr G6200 in benchmark was stand after adreno 330. this means this phone would run most of games in high res and high graphic games at least in good res... please look at price ratio. htc E series are not flagship but has the best balance in price and specs

Phones like this that score 50,000+ in Antutu only to completely utter fail other gpu/fps benchmarks proves how useless Antutu scores can be.

AnonD-7433, 27 Jun 2015Yeah, dumb GPU and actually an even DUMBER CPU! When will t... moreGo to setting/app manager/running and you'll see that there are at least 20 processes. That's why multicore CPUs are for and that's why multicore CPU performance is important. In a quad core CPU, two cores run background processes while another two runs active app/game. Another reason is that to increase performance, you have to increase CPU clock speed or cores. But you can't raise too much clock speed on a CPU(this will melt cpu and blow your phone!Unless you cool your CPU with liquid nitrogen). Also higher clockspeed means higher power consumption. So there is only one solution-to increase number of cores. Apple's dual core CPU runs on ios-not on android. Android is more power hungry than ios. Multicore CPUs increase performance and reduce power consumption. Chip companies do know what they are doing trust me. If you really think that you know better than them, just make a chipset of your own lol.

AnonD-7433, 27 Jun 2015Yeah, dumb GPU and actually an even DUMBER CPU! When will t... moreSnapdragon 810 has worse single core performance once it throttles (which is anywhere from 1-3 minutes of continuous phone usage). So -no- this phone has better multi core *and* single core performance. Its gpu sucks though so if you play games stay away...

HTC choose mediatek because firstly S810 has heating issues(S810 devices such as Z3+ and oneplus two are forced to underclock CPUs to avoid heating issues). Secondly,to reduce cost(E9+ is not a flgship phone. If you don't pay flagship price, you won't get a flagship chipset). Mediatek has arguably better CPU performance than S810 but mediocre GPU which is a big concern regarding it's QHD screen. I think HTC better equip 1080p screen to reduce gpu burden as well as to reduce cost and to increase battery life.

I dont know what HTC E9plus u guys are using, but mine has stereo speakers. and all those benchmarks are just numbers, used this phone for a week now and not regretting it even a bit. the only let down is in the battery department.

Yeah, dumb GPU and actually an even DUMBER CPU! When will the chips company realize that the single core performance is much much more important than the multicore performance?! From day to day tasks to heavy workloads, the single core performance is what being used every single time! The additional cores are for backups only, and power saving, but the power saving option can also been done by improving the efficiency of the single core performance or at least by just adding another extra low power core for less demanding tasks. Until when they finally learn from Apple that has kept on embarrassing them with their dual core processors!??
But having said all that, the S6 is still an overall beast of a performer. If only Samsung would release a version of the S6 with only FHD display (with smaller screen, 4.8" would be perfect, and call it the Compact S6!), it would be unbeatable, it would even run circles around its closest competition. What say you, Sammy?

HTC is gonna set the price high, as always, and nobody is gonna buy it since it has poor gpu, battery and camera.

WTH! What is wrong with HTC? Why are they doing so many mistakes one after other? Seriously, they got the worse product line of 2015 so far. I really hope it actually is a sign of some big change in the coming months, otherwise they are gonna end up much horrible than Nokia.

You can get the HTC E8 for approximately the equivalent of 260$ in Taiwan now. This year's lineup doesn't seem much better.
And where's the audio quality test? (I assume it would be the same as the original though)
