Samsung Galaxy Note5 review: The 5blet

21 August, 2015
As the fourth successor of the product that defined what a phablet should be, Samsung Galaxy Note5 is arguably the most radical release in the product family to date. The newcomer marks a noteworthy departure (no pun intended) from all of its predecessors in terms of both design and available hardware features...

Q:1-is ISO800 absolute maximum?
2-when considering difference in maximum of available memory and maximum battery performance with note4, is it still worth???
3-is audio recording on the level of g4, or iphone6? (it is not on the level of 1020/1520 I hear)
would help to record some hard music....

[deleted post]You mean the photos of the Note 5 itself? Mobile camera? You kidding right?

Gotta be a 1D X or something like that.

After the Note 1, LG Nexus 5, iPhone 6 (unfortunate crap provided by company), I am excited for Galaxy note 5. Best display, best camera and best processor with 4gb RAM(to utilize 64 bit processing, that too with the trimmed down TW) are enough reasons for me to purchase 64gb version. I anyway wouldn't have bothered about design or removable battery, however luxurious design is welcomed!

Not sure how the review can easily recommend this phone to anyone. It's mega expensive, fragile, hardware limited, dreadful RAM management, same chip as the S6. Disappointed tbh.

what's the point of having a beautiful phone if it is easily damaged by an accidental drop? It is not anywhere near cheap! forget the sd card omission...what will I do with it if I drop it and it's glass cracks? It's a big phone after all, not easy to handle with one hand like the smaller ones, and yeah it is slippery.

this is one hell of an expensive phone for an android phone. No joke considering its exactly the same as the note 4. not only that its the same as the note 4 minus a sd card slot and removable battery, what are they trying to do here? make an iphone or something? and whats this samsung pay about? copying apple pay?

WORSE battery life than Note 4 according to last year test. And no replaceable battery !! FAIL

ithehappy, 21 Aug 2015So the PROS for me: - Excellent display, as usual. - Lo... moreNot for audiophiles mate. Stereo crosstalk is one thing but headphone output is low. In that regard S6 is the best for music in Samsung's camp while M8 and Meizu MX4 reign overall.

                                So the PROS for me:

                                - Excellent display, as usual.
                                - Look at the stereo crosstalk, 84.1! Audiophiles? There you go.
                                - Unmatched S Pen, with even better feature sets.
                                - Performance.
                                - Good enough camera.

                                CONS:

                                - 5.7", again :(
                                - Slippery build material. I don't like glass and all that.
                                - Endurance is lower than Note 4. That is unacceptable!
                                - No IR Blaster! Jeez Samsung!

Probably will get it. The display, that audio quality, and the camera are enough to consider an upgrade from Note 3, let's see though.

jk, 21 Aug 2015I will still prefer the LG G4!!Please don't drag the level down to filth by mentioning about a super filthy device.

I tried this phone in a mobile store, and I found that only 17GB is available to the user, 15GB is for the system.
I wish I could return to the store to take a screenshot and send it to my mobile. so I can share it
