A8 plus is a disappointment w.r.t camera. Face recognition is so bad! Camera focusses and refocusses and takes blurry pictures even when its taken during broad daylight using timer.

Well some of the details are wrong.
My Snapdragon version (A8000) definitely does have NFC...
Also as for the back, I think it is aluminum just like all the other A series, NOT plastic!
As for the device itself, let me tell you right now, go and upgrade to marshmallow as soon as you can! Believe me, after the first few boots when the OS needed to optimize itself, you will simply forget about lollipop! My Chinese (CHN) version in lollipop was so horrible that the keyboard lags like a $100 smartphone and I couldn't even open and close an app without lags in the animation!
Now in marshmallow, I feel like this phone is VERY similar to Galaxy Mega 6.3 which I used to have as my daily driver 2 years ago. It serves as a VERY good upsized Galaxy S6 with identical designs, shatter resistant back and SD card slot while the Mega 6.3 shares identical designs with Galaxy S4! They all share good body to screen ratio and body to thickness ratio. Overall in my opinion this is a solid buy for you to get stylish for Galaxy series. (in fact, in North America where A8 is not available, the phone shines more than S7 edge due to the curiosity of the beautiful design) However, if you want to get one for yourselves, I suggest you to go for the European version (Turkey version gets updates very fast) or Korean version over the Chinese version (the cheapest version with a generic Snapdragon, with 16gb storage and sub-par software support - in fact the Chinese version only received Marshmallow in mid January and Hong Kong version received in February!).

The main drawback of this phone is its sim card & memory card slot distribution, as those are in same tray .Hence at a time you can take the facility of any one .Battery also exhausted frequently.Snap shot through camera also not distinct.

My Galaxy A8 screen is separating from my phone for the THIRD time. This same issue was already repaired twice in Chiang Mai, Thailand at the Samsung Repair Center.
In addition the Auto Focus on the camera is hard to focus. It will roll through all the focus points and then remain unfocused when it decides to focus. I don't think I will be purchasing anymore Samsung products.
