OnePlus X review: Straight Up

13 November, 2015
The OnePlus X is not another flagship killer, we have the OnePlus 2 for that. Instead OnePlus decided to take a break from the high profile smartphone gane and brings us a stunning mid-ranger capable of delivering on both looks and performance.

"The rest of the wireless connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n support and Wi-Fi Direct. There is no dual-band Wi-Fi support, unfortunately."

It's been a week since I've started using this phone. Purchased it after going through the raving reviews. But, It's no great phone. I was using a Moto G first gen previously, and I find the old Moto g and this new one plus X to be having the same battery life, very disappointed about it.Also was expecting better quality camera, which is also a let down.

Be sure to MHL-compatible? Because then it takes all for this price! It's a shame that the BlackBerry did not make it into the Priv ! I've ever slip below should, but I am looking forward to the "Vienna". MHL is important to me, to be my job! But even qwerty and BB menager file. But I think back to become droid!

Rayne , 13 Nov 2015not bad!! old processer might be a let down No way to blame processor, as S801 is an excellent processor on many flagship devices like ones from Sony, Samsung HTC etc. Excellent in terms of battery life Sony Z3 Compact is build on S801.
It's luck of optimization from OnePlus make overall experience with X quite poor. Average camera, average battery life, some lags in interface etc. Relatively low price along with great look doesn't mean great user experience. It's only hard work on optimization of everything what phone has, makes one a great device. Luck of optimization will end up in many drawbacks and overall bad user experience.

My Only Concern is the "Quick Charging" I don't understand why OnePlus is not considering this feature, it is the most important feature people needs this moment.

I was considering buying either OnePlus X ($270) and or Letv 1S ($200). I think I'm going to go with the Letv 1S now. I really like the look of the OnePlus X, but I don't think it's worth the extra $70. If the X had fingerprint scanner and Snapdragon 805 and 3000mAh battery then I go for it. But $200 for the Letv 1S with the specs it's got is alot better value.

                            This is s*ck big time.
54h endurance with very poor web and video time
                            at 175 nits test screen......
                            To compare,
Samsung S5 at 275 nits got 83 endurance
with more than 11 hours at video

Z3 compact still a better phone! Battery life two times better and better camera. Marshmallow is right on the corner.

64bit apps are still a rarity and the phone will probably become outdated because of performance before it is outdated for being 32bit.

The only app I've seen that is 64bit is the GameCube emulator, but that doesn't even work properly on the galaxy s6.

I even don't think the processor us the AB version of the 801, but an enhanced AA one for faster GPU.

                                    Overall...the Oneplus X is a mixed bag.

                                      "Audio quality disappoints" ...shit happens.
I'll wait for SGS7, may there be SD card slot again...

                                        This phone the step back.
I think the OnePlus tries to lie their customers.
While other companies go ahead issuing the phone with 32 GB ROM and new CPU.
