I have been using it for a month now and am able to transfer files to and from any fat32 formatted drive without any issues. The built in file manager (under settings -> storage -> explore) has to be used in this case. Most of the 3rd party file manager apps from the play store are unable to perform this task.

Nexus, 23 Dec 2015If you replace smartphone with phablet then yes, although i... moreYes the snapdragon 810 is fine in my opinion, as I've used other handsets this phone doesn't suffer any issues, except the fact it could do with being more efficient, but the huge battery makes up for it, loudspeaker is loud and the second production batch has better audio, deeper bass etc, better call quality, I'm on my 5th nexus 6p and found the new batch far superior, got replacements 5 times due to pink screen issues

This is the 2nd review of the nexus 6p from gsmarena ,right?
One negative side is the availability . There are phones coming out very fast,making people change their mind all the time about what to choose. I mean i been waiting over 1 month now to check out the phone on the local store here .I was 100% sure to buy the 6p but huawei /google can not deliver fast enough/ship to stores/countries. I think this make them loose potential buyers. I need a phone yesterday not in 3 months from now.
As i waited and waited still the 64gb ,white version is not available here. And same with the google store too,waiting and waiting. So now im waiting for my new meizu pro 5 ,its on the way to me now.
The competition is hard and fast. To deliver and make it available worldwide is very important if you want people to buy this phone. Google/Huawei fail at this.

Nice review, had one for a while and agree a great phone. One error in your review though - it absolutely supports USB peripherals. OTG is not part of the USB spec, it natively supports connection of usb devices. I used USB drives and DACs (Chord Mojo) with mine via USB A to C adapter and even a micro USB to USB C cable. Keyboards and move should similarly work without issue.

Too many people on here whining about a phone they don't own. I've used alot of phones... To include m8 s6 note 5 iPhone 6plus. And honestly this is the best phone to own, there are no compromises, u won't find any issues and everything is perfect, the camera is the best I've owned, loudspeakers are great, headphone audio quality is decent enough that was my main concern after the nexus 5 couple years back. Trust me this is the perfect and most complete smartphone ever made

how about the ringing volume ? is it loud enough?... moreSpeakers are among the loudest you can get. Outdoor is normal, at a galaxy note 4/5 level so no concerns here.
The display, for those who don't know it is like in between the note 4 and 5 in terms of quality... Or lets say development stage. The image quality is almost the same with all three panels, you can barely tell any difference when viewing a picture or web page on them.
The difference is made "inside" and is called efficiency and in this Department the nexus 6p screen is anywhere between the relatively power hungry note 4 and the relatively efficient note 5 screen.

Because really, the flagship race is neck and neck, it's hard to differentiate them nowadays. And honestly, you really can't go wrong with any flagship. It's really up to you now to decide - even reviewers now will tell you that.
But for differentiation's sake, this phone's unique selling point is clean, stock Android - on a bigger screen (the 5X's selling point is also the OS, but on a smaller screen).

On paper because you're coming from an iPhone you'll likely be used to having loads of apps or certainly having them first before anyone else. The Nexus 6P will definitely have the same apps you use whereas Windows 10 is currently trying to get the same number of apps but certainly the major ones. Like Snapchat for instance isn't on Windows 10 but is on Android and iOS annoyingly. Microsoft are trying everything they can to make it as easy as possible to develop apps for Windows 10 and stop this gap between the platforms in terms of apps. Phone wise, they are pretty much equals. The Lumia has an outstanding camera I've universally read across the web. Both devices use USB Type C and charge incredibly quickly. They both have mammoth batteries and should easily see you through the day unless you're an extremely heavy user but even then quick charging makes up for it.

I got a 64GB version from 2degrees in New Zealand over the weekend. It is a subsidized phone with a final price of about US$640 (more expensive than in the US even if subsidized but still a good deal compared with the retail price). The phone screams premium.
It does warm up a little (no overheating issues whatsoever) when rapidly charging (really fast!), or when I was restoring my 200+ applications. During normal operation I don't even feel it warm. Camera takes shots with great detail and they look good both in full daylight and darkn (I am not a camera person, so this is not an expert opinion). I ran benchmarks and got different results than the ones posted here.
Basemark II 2.0 gives score of 1507. I do think phone is faster than that but the score is what it is. Antutu v6 gives 83639. Basemark X gives 19348 (high quality), and 27653 (medium quality = default)
Marshmallow (rooted now) rocks and so does battery life under it. I am really pleased with this purchase and will not be considering another phone for the next two years but don't quote me on that. Considering that this phone will be getting even Android O and always as soon as Google releases it is another plus.

Anonymous, 22 Dec 2015Could the people who say they are disappointed explain why?... moreLet me point that I have no animosity towards Huawei and I actually like their hardware design. My gripes with the 6P are, in no particular order:
No OIS (previous Nexii had it),
No wireless charging (previous Nexii had it),
Battery live is bad considering capacity and how much Google hyped Doze as a feature,
No USB on the go support (neither storage or accessories),
Lack of any kind of multitasking features (dual window, floating apps),
Terrible multimedia package (Photos, Music and Video are terrible compared to apps by Sony, LG or Samsung),
Non user friendly changes to base OS (no easy vibrate mode, automatic brightness control, alarm get muted in DnD mode etc, Ambient Display is unreliable),
No themes support,
No TV-Out support for either Slimport or HDMI,
Incompatibility with existing accessories (power-banks and such),
Poor display (brightness and color accuracy),
No manual controls in camera app.
Those came to me from the top of my mind.
