Galaxy Note 5 vs. iPhone 6s Plus vs. LG V10: The snow camera field test

25 January, 2016
When you are pinned in the city, winter hardly feels like a pleasant season. But once you step outside of the city’s boundaries, the sweeping vistas of the snowy slopes make for some of the best photo opportunities...

You cannot use two different field of views and call this a good test.

You should have set the V10 and Note 5 to the 4/3rds mode and then tested against the iPhone and you would have had better results.

Now the best camera phone is the one with the most features period.

      That's the V10 period.

It has 4K manual video recording and can do both slo mo and time lapse at those resolutions... The time lapse can be 1, 2, 4, 8, or 15 frames per second where Apple locks you at 1 setting.

The Still photos can customize every setting including white balance and you can shoot RAW! Photoshop Express supports RAW editing.

Truth is, if LG gave this camera a zoom lens then it would easily be a point and click replacement.

I think from my own experience, the lg v10 is the best because it has good contrast of the image and a lot of sharp details

Linas, 27 Jan 2016in 2009, normal smartphone internal memory was 4/8gb. 32gb ... moreI'm not an iphone fan but the 2009 iphone had 32GB. Samsung is only offering 32GB in some countries in 2016 which makes no sense when the iphone is offering 128GB.

Anyway, given that the SD card is coming back they agree, have at least realised their mistake and listened to the complaints. It means the GN6 / S7 wont be crippled for power users like the GN5 / S6 is.

I am only interested in a mobile camera that has the best contrast, ability to handle contrast I should say. I am currently looking to upgrade my S4, which has terrible contrast capabilities, and it seems the V10 might be the answer. Any comments of contrast welcomed thanks.

AnonD-292864, 27 Jan 2016It is not much different than carrying an extra battery. In my opinion it is better NOT to use the phone while charging,
especially in that crazy low temperature,
And if you force to keep using your phone with power bank
than it will look like ... yes it is "herpes" :D
So for me, i prefer removable battery.

                                  6s won IMO.
Overall quality is great although not as detailed as V10.

But I think V10 could get a better result if it was manually adjusted (using manual mode).

Overall 32gb is more than enough for 99% of users. I have had a use of Note 3, 32gb which does have sd slot and 32gb sd card (making 64gb total) as well as s6 edge 64gb and on both phones I don't have anywhere near 32gb media. There is about 16gb on my Note 3 card and and about 8 gb on the phone itself , making 24gb, and on my sgs 6 edge there is about 20gb of files from over the 8 month period. Finally, this is neither the disadvantage when comparing with iPhone, because iPhones never had sd card slot, even more their memory upgrades options are even more expensive.
