Amazingly, this mini phone still holds its own in 2024. Truly it is mini - I would argue it is the most compact iPhone Apple has ever made (joint crown with iPhone 5/5s). Sure some other phones are less tall or less wide but in combination of height, width, depth and weight, nothing beats it.
The fact this phone runs iOS 15 means it still has universal app support too. If you go much older (e.g. iPhone 6/5s/5 and earlier) then you begin running into problems installing some apps, for example Spotify doesn't support iOS 12 any more.

Sold my iPhone 12 Pro Max, got an og iPhone SE, replaced the battery and plugged in my wired headphones. This is a small beast. Too bad Apple doesn’t make this formfactor anymore.

My hubby gifted it to me in 2018 when I just gave birth to my son,since then I’ve had no issues with it whatsoever..my son has dropped it like 1000 times,played with it as a toy and seriously it never stopped working,no dents,no problem at all,its a beautiful phone and I love it..I recently bought aniphone 14 but still using my se coz its soo comfy in my hands..I mean the size.☺️

Bought in 2019, still now its a little monster! Batter life 96%, back up for about 2 days in regular use without net. I love this cutie😍🤩🧚🧜💝

2yrs in a freak kitchen accident shattered screen. Apple refused to repair because of dent in case. All the while still worked. Third party repair for £49 works fine. Survived rainstorms as Deliveroo rider. 2021 battery replacement- still working. 2022 moving to USA still working!! I think this is a quality piece of kit - still updating iOS

Please, does someone knows if it is possible to lock screen in landscape mode but 180 degrees round-i mean the home button will be on left? I dont mean home screen-it is ok to keep portrait but soon i enter any app i want it in lanscape mode with home button on left. The reason? - i am used to use phone with left hand. Thanx for answer in advance. PS: i would be happy if it possible with preinstalled app but if not i am willing to install some app)

I use this along my 11 pro max , it is the best phone when it comes to pricing , and its small and compact for messaging when i get bored from the max .
Plus it has ios 14 coming to it ,
Would recommend buying 100%

READ IF YOU CONSIDER BUYING
it has clicking buttons, all of them, the top one is the worst though

it has also a clicking sound from the touch screen when placing 2 fingers at a precise spot after not touching the phone for a while.
it has a hissing sound coming from the back of the phone while under usage – the more heavy the use the more static/hiss.
it has a poor microphone and a clear but weak speaker.
These are things nobody reviewing phones care about aparrently, but i did some research and im not the only one having these problems. Aparrently most people only look at their phones and dont "use" them.

The main camera produces acceptable photos, but they tend to be fairly noisy. The highest resolution videos have mono sound only. The front camera has a low specification for 2016 when the phone was released, but it works well. There is no SD card slot to store your music and video (as with all Apple devices) but there is, thankfully, a jack socket for normal headphones. The phone speaker and call quality is quite good, as is the phone for 3D gaming or 3D apps from the store, providing you have a charger on hand as the battery will run down fast. It's just too bad that most 3d apps will use up space fast if you go for the 16GB or 32GB models. If you are on a budget it might be worth a look for a second hand phone, but there will likely be better android phones out there for around the same price.
