Meizu M5 Note review: One, Two, Three, Five!

03 February 2017
Meizu's Note series were off to a great start with the m1 note. The m2 note did some upgrades in expense of a few features, while the m3 note turned out a worthy successor though it trailed behind the Xiaomi's mid-range crop. It's time for Meizu to freshen up its Note lineup again, and today we get our hands on the newly released M5 Note.

Gsmarena its a lost cause if you think changing up the review format is going to increase readership. The industry is going more and more in the direction of video reviews which you guys have been extremely slow to adopt. You need to innovate more. While your content is much appreciated, little has changed in how its delivered since you started this site despite that people during this time have gotten so much more lazy they can't even be bothered to read anymore. Like it not its time to publish (a lot) more video content.

its ur wish to make the review long or short, but dont forget to mention the conclusion!

Please keep your review like what u did before! A 9-part review is what makes people read GSMArena reviews! If u keep short review like this, I, at least,WON'T BOTHER READ GSMARENA REVIEWS AGAIN! Better just go to specs page and memorized ALL THE FEATURE I NEED as u are actually just writing what specs sheet says in paragraphs!

They don't like using four in naming schemes because "four" (4) in chinese also means "dead/die" when pronounced in a different tone.

Its just a stupid superstition. Apple had the iphone 4 and Xiaomi had the mi4 and they all did very well in china. This just proves Meizu has some old traditional thinking noob at the helm.

If it means more phones will be reviewed then shorten your reviews ! (Although this was less than half). But you should keep all the tests otherwise you will become just lile all the other pointless reviewing sites.

Keep the screen/sunlight, battery, audio quality, performance, and camera test then it should be fine.
Those things are something that still pretty unique to gsmarena review.

Get rid of it and i won't bother to read it anymore since it'll be no different with some blogger review whose idea of review is to recite spec sheet into paragraphs

Really good review. Short and Helpful.
I was waiting for a Meizu M3s review for a long time, but it didn´t happen.
I can say that this one was even more exciting.
I live in Kurdistan region of Iran. Here Meizu has a distributor, so finding one of their phones isn´t so hard.

And for this kind of review: Keep doing like this
                    Thank you all in GSMArena

Pretty much what we expected. Just because it's time to release a new phone in the series doesn't mean you should if you have nothing better to offer. While m3note was and still is a nice midranger with an awesome battery life, the competition has much better and cheaper offerings. Only if you fancy the build which is very good & clean, you should go with this. And ofcourse you should be a fan of the brand. Otherwise, with this price tag - i don't think so!

I like this review format very much, the only thig that was left out was the connectivity options: network, wifi, bluetooth, otg, etc.. You should include that.

would like to see the points mentioned in the conclusion in the end and also the key disadvantages in the beginning. they were very helpful and if covering broader devices is a concern I would love to get the opportunity to help.
