Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 preview: Snapdragon Inside

15 February 2017
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 3 in India last year in March, about four months after it was announced in China. But while it was launched late in India, it did launch with a bit of a difference; while China got the MediaTek Helio X10 processor, India got the brand spanking new Snapdragon 625.

Just like to note this common mistake: I have the MTK RN4, and it uses a single-piece aluminum panel that wraps all the way around the back and sides. It's every bit as premium built as a flagship from HTC or ZTE would be. For the RN4 Snapdragon, along with the decrease in performance comes a decrease in build quality apparently, which is disappointing, as I expected the SD version to be the better variant much like the RN3 SD was the Pro variant.

hero355, 15 Feb 2017Hm.. only Redmi Note 3 Pro (Kate) supports Band 20 for 4G. ... moreThe Redmi Note 4 real international version with model number 2016102 is not released yet but it will support the following LTE bands:

              FDD Band 1 /Band 3 /Band 4 /Band 5 /Band 7 /Band 8 /Band 20
              TDD Band 38 /Band 40

So yes it will support band 20 (but not for example band 28 or band 2).

"Most supported bands in the history of Xiaomi" must surely be Note 2 Global version, not Redmi Note 3.

The real factor why the Redmi Note 3 and the Redmi Note 4 Mediatek won is the bands supported. The Redmi Note 3 supported the most of bands available in the history of Xiaomi and it became the most popular phone of the brand.

The Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon supports this?
