Got mine two weeks ago and I'm dee-lited about it.Paid 446$ from Aliexpress,they are using DHL,over their EU warehouse,so no custom&tax dutys.This thing is a beast in terms of...everything!Excellent display,killer hardware(4/64 version),great build&finish,very good camera,all day battery life,beautiful looking MIUI-everything from Google working great,rapid fingerprint,fast 4G..fantastic sound..
Almost waited for Oneplus 5 to buy,but I'm very glad I didn't,they're so similar in what they offer but one thing is crucial;Next to 1+5,Mi6 looks like italian designed top fashion statement,+5 looks like painfully boring cheap piece of rectangular..thing..and for 100+$ more,it's a no brainer.Mi6,highly recommend it!
cheers

AnonD-670740, 18 Jun 2017The audio is stereo captured at 96KBps bitrate.lumia 532 have 168MIUI 8 limitation. If you watch all MIUI 8 devices, the recorded audio are all equal actually. This will hopefully be improved in MIUI 9.

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2017This phone is 800 usd in my country . It is worth it ?800 us dollars? that is actually insane. In my country it is 500 Euros and it is still insane. Only via online retailers (currently at ~370 Euros) . With 800 dollars you have to check S8,XZ premium,G6,P10 etc....they will probably cost less than that...the problem when the price gets high is not if "the phone does not worth it" but that the competition gets harder....at 370 Euros there are not many (if any) phones to match Mi6...but at 700+ oh boy...
Edit: If anything else you have to check oneplus 5. It will be sold officialy from the company at most markets and it will cost far less than that (~500 dollars). If you are into the bigger screen, it will probably be equivalent (if not better) to mi6.

... moreThe quality is not even of the same universe.
For your reference: https://imgur.com/a/HiOG0
And mirrorless cameras can be had for dirt cheap these days. It's silly to give +$400 for a phone just for the camera (because really in anything else Mi6 is better). You could simply just buy a great camera with that money that will have 10 times the quality.

Samsung did it with S7 and S7 edge (5.1 and 5.5 inch) and Huawei with P and P plus and I am glad they did (they had the Note and the Mate respectively for even bigger screen). Exception it is but still most of the others can't do this easily (Samsung and Huawei are giants).

AnonD-263867, 02 Jun 2017Dude, 5.5 inch, is not ridiculously large, its an optimum s... morePersonally I don't like 5.5 inch phones. I didn't buy op3 cause it was too big for me. I am happy that there are a few companies that produce flagship-style phones with smaller screens. So myself and others like me are the target group. I understand the struggle for those wanting 5.5 inch phones but I think no company can produce flagships for both 5-5.2 inch and 5.5 inch screen sizes... However consider that most of the companies (at least until 2016 where the bezel-less hype was absent) produced 5.5 inch phones and nothing smaller. It is an irony you guys coming here complaining of a phone not being 5.5 inch when everything else are...what about us? Yeah some ppl in this world can't use 5.5 inch-with bezels-footprint phones with one hand...If they scrap the bezels out i can talk about a 5.5-inch phone...but then and only then

AnonD-263867, 02 Jun 2017The new norm for flagship devices is to be standardized bro... moreI disagree that S8 is easily manageable one handed. IMO it's one of the hardest. It's simply too tall to reach both the notification and the navigation bar without constantly adjusting your grip (which is also dangerous for falls, etc). IMO no screen should ever be that tall it breaks ergonomy. To make matters worse having to reach leads to accidental touches.
I agree though that 5.5 inch is a better side , but it can only be done by almost completely eliminating bezels, using a sensible aspect ratio (not too tall!) and some well working palm rejection software.
A 5.5 incher can be as small as 130x65mm (which is great for one handed use) but the tech is not here yet. Lacking that Xiaomi's Mi6 is the most ergonomic design this year around. Yes the screen is small in this info heavy era but we still don't have many better options...

Anonymous, 29 May 2017None of those are shortcoming , those are little things. ... moreThe new norm for flagship devices is to be standardized bro, companies should offer latest options and technologies without having to remove existing options that people are used to, getting a 5 inch screen with full HD resolution for 600 plus dollars is not a sensible purchase. 5.5 is compact phone if built properly, samsungs 5.8 is easily manageable with one hand, i am not saying its the best, but i am just giving an example. plus everyone has their own opinion.

AnonD-263867, 29 May 2017Xiaomi pleaseee. just so that your batteries last longer, y... moreNone of those are shortcoming , those are little things.
The four main things are battery, camera, autonomy, performance (I would add looks but that is very subjective).
In 3 out of 4 Mi 6 shines through and even in camera it's great.
The idea that it will fail because you can't think of having the 3.5 mm adapter connected to your headphones at all times ... Is weird at best.
If something has such an easy solution is not actually a problem.
Also ~3400 battery for that screen size is one of the best in the market. Possibly *the* best after Xiaomi's very redmi series...
