LG Q6 preview: A closer look

08 September 2017
The Q6 is LG's latest crack at the budget smartphone market. But instead of making yet another cookie cutter device, LG has decided to shape it in the mold of its flagship device, the LG G6.

Heck, they should put the SD 650 at least to be competitive.. just look at the Xperia X and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro... they are still useful.

No NFC is NOT a shortcoming.

SD 435 is a bit of a joke, if the phone had the SD 660, this thing would sell like hotcakes. The lack of NFC and FPS is also troublesome.

If LG adds another $100 on top of the price and put in the things listed above, they would have a winner on their hands. Hopefully they'll have a more upmarket model with all those features soon.

Anyone buying a phone with only A53 cores in its SoC that isnt entry level,is st***d and deserves to be parted with its money as a fool.

1 more biggest mistake LG has made that, they only changes the RAM and Memory in the plus version rather than features like fingerprint sensor and many more. ....

Once again a phone from LG with a missed out feature and this tym the fingerprint sensor and its A biggest mistake from LG. apart from that, the chipset 435 instead of 625 and phone looks as ugly from back as its looks stunning from front ,,specially that camera spot, it looks like the cheap local phone.. it could have been much better in terms of design if the volume keys were at the back which was the 1 of the best design from LG which they used in G2,3,4 and k10 (2016) before...its very hard for LG to make the phones with fully loaded features with stunning price to take the competition with MI,Oppo, vivo, lenovo.,and motoROLA like companies...finally still waiting for a powerful package at a decent price from LG

Could have been a great phone but totally gimped and ruined with Snapdragon 435. Why not at least 625? What a pity.

Maybe it looks good, but overpriced twice. It's LG. For this price you can get much better phones.

The metal build quality is amazing, good initiative from LG. Bezelless like the G6 also, the design we all like. But that's about it. Performance wise the phone is underwhelming. We're yet to see the camera but judging by the snapdragon 4**series, it won't be what people will be expecting. That metal design is good on a CAT/TREKKER phones. Not on a easily scratchable bezzelless phone.
I doubt the demand for this phone will be up to LG's expectations

I dont understand the pricing. I was eyeing this one, but settled for the Redmi 4X, which is similar (trading the nice display of the Q6 for a fingerprint sensor), and costs half.

I guess the phone will drop in price rapidly, or else I dont see LG selling lots of these.
