Sony Xperia L2 review

E turned into L in Sony's smartphone lineup last year and now comes generation two - the Sony Xperia L2. A year later, the new entry-level model comes with a few hardware improvements and an aesthetic to match the current company trends.

      It's so unbelievably ugly when the bottom bezel of a phone is bigger than the top one. That's something I never liked about the X Compact and XZ1 Compact.

        Sony Xperia L2 downgrade on screen display 720p is disappointing. Its chipset Mediatek is now suitable for dummy phone not for entry level smartphones.

        We still vouch for Sony because of its battery life, ruggedness IP68, lightweight UI, and a marriage with both Qualcomm and Google Android. Sony is the most loyal Qualcomm partner and an Android's purist worshipper.

        Xperia XA2 its lower midrange is much better than its entry-level phone Xperia L2. Xperia XA2 is more suitable to be my second phone than L2. I'm amongst one of a customers that must have a 2 phones at one time even if both phones supporting non-hybrid dual sim.

          Just get the L1. We have one as a backup, and even as a main phone, it's excellent value and nicely designed, for £120 at CPW. Screen is bright and the UX responsive.

              increase Brightness, increase Contrast, slightly reduce Saturation, slightly increase ambiance, increase Shadow, even an underexpose image also can redo a brighter effect. If someone like the PUNCH COLOR they also can increase the contrast and increase the Saturation in the Tune image settings to replace a NATURAL COLOR.

Its more expensive than phones like Redmi 5, Honor 9 Lite, Redmi Note 4, Moto G5 Plus all while being vastly inferior in performance and specs. So cool off with that Sony fanboyism.

                  I don't understand the complaints about the photos being soft. Does it matter? Most users will never look at the photos at full size.
                  That's why I think it's stupid of the camera phone makers to apply so much noise reduction and sharpening on the photos as these will look the same on your phone's display with or without it. The only ones who can tell are us pixel peepers who cry over how bad the photos look after the sandpaper (noise reduction) has polished away all fine detail and the starch (sharpening) has given any detail remaining nice shining haloes.
                  I really loved the XPERIA P with its camera. Very mild post processing so a pleasure to look at the photos taken with it, both on the phone's display and on a large computer monitor.

                          Thrash. For the same price, u can get many choices from other brands with a lot better specs. XA2 are excellent for the price range, while XA2 Ultra are overpriced.

                              The photos look really bad especially the sky.
                              For just 30 euros extra, you can get the J7 Pro, which is superior in every way to L2.

Funny thing is I found Z5 for that price :) big competition. But back to entry-level, ...iso is still tucked away in an extra settings menu. so nothing new. Whats new is how lazy is camera post processing - you can see, diagonal / diamond shaped lines of noise(visible in sky). I guess, sensor pixels are in that fashion... first time I did see that kind of thing.

                                        I am having second thoughts in these reviews since the video selfy camera comparison test yesterday without including Sony in it.
